The propert lies 1500 meters from the charming village of Montecchio in a hilly location with panoramic views. It's rented for holidays starting from June 2021. It's a fully self contained house with a fully fenced garden. The property has an own swimming pool (6x3 meters, depth 1,4 meters) equipped with parasols and sun loungers. The whole property is for private/exclusive use of the tenant. It is suitable for up to 7 persons. There are 4 bedrooms (3 with double bed and 1 with single bed) and 3 bathrooms. On the western side of the house there is a porch with table and chairs. There are further table and chairs to eat near the pool area and a barbecue to cook. The house has on the ground floor: a well equipped kitchen, dining and living area, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Basement floor (there is no internal staircase between the two floors): kitchen with dining table/living area, double bedroom, bathroom with shower / toilet.
All the most common household appliances are available: fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, oven, flat-TV, Wi-fi internet connection, iron. Baby cot and highchair available. Parking place for 2 cars inside the property. In the village of Montecchio thereare: bar, baker, 2 butchers (by one it's also possible to buy cooked meals), small supermarket, grocery store, pharmacy. There are 3 more supermarkets and other shops in Baschi (11km). Big supermarket, often open on Sunday, available in Orvieto Scalo close to the motorway exit. Recommendend restaurants: La Perla (in the centre of the village of Montecchio, it has also takeaway service), Sala della Comitessa (Baschi, 11 kms), Casa Vissani (Baschi at 11 kms...high quality but very expensive), Il fontanile (7 kms from Montecchio). At 10 km it is possible to visit the Falesco winery (visits and tasting from Monday to Friday).
From Montecchio it's possible to reach quickly the principal cultural and naturalistic beauties of Umbria, Rome and northern Lazio, southern Tuscany (it's at 20kms from the motorway Rome-Florence, exit Orvieto). The train station of Orvieto is at 25 Kms, from the train station it is possible to reach Rome and Florence in around 1h30.

Guidos Haus in Montecchio

Das Haus liegt an einer ruhigen Sackgasse und ist sehr geräumig. Die untere Etage ist modern und grosszügig gestaltet. Dort befindet sich auch die Waschmaschine in einem eigenen Raum. Nur in der oberen Etage ist der Wasserdruck etwas schwach in der Dusche, was typisch ist in südlichen Ländern im Sommer. Der Swimming Pool ist lang, wunderbar um sportlich zu schwimmen oder nur einfach abzukühlen. Ein sehr freundlicher Mann sorgt dafür, daß der pool sauber bleibt, er kommt wöchentlich gegen 8:00. Das Haus ist ideal für Entspannung, doch gibt es reichliche Möglichkeiten um die Umgebung zu erkunden und es gibt 2 gute Restaurants in Montecchio, ca 5 (Auto) Minuten entfernt vom Haus. Der Gastgeber Guido gibt seinen Gästen eine Menge Empfehlungen wo man Lebensmittel kaufen kann, wo man essen gehen kann, usw. Das Haus und dessen Lage ist so schön, dass es schwer fällt, es zu verlassen.
