"When we walked in the bed was unmade.. which made me question if it was changed at all after previous guests.. when we moved bed cover there was someone’s t-shirt… NO towels at all, no fridge/coffee/microwave (just be aware) and AC made a huge puddle on the floor only after several hours running. Thank you for the t-shirt, previous owner. What we will wake up to in the morning I wonder."

"We only stayed here one night, we wish we had stayed longer. Very nice hotel in a very nice small town. The pool was amazing, very clean and spacious. Everything was amazing, the staff was very helpful! The room was comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfortable. Thank you!"

"This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation. Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available. "

"Place is in a sorry condition, as soon as you hit the stairs you notice a weird stench, the building is old, I can hear the neighbors every time they walk around or flush the toilet. Not sure what was happening during my stay but there were doors being slammed repeatedly all afternoon. However, the place is equipped to accommodate cyclists and their bikes in the form of a dedicated secure storage space. For the price I would have expected the room to be better equipped and the place to be better maintained "

"I stayed one night with 2 friends in a triple room - but we were told at the time of booking that we could be provided with 3 single beds. Turned out not to be the case as our room had a double and a single bed and it was not possible to get 3 single beds. We survived that for one night - but cannot accept to share a bed with a double duvet - so asked reception for an extra duvet. The receptionist tried her best but was only able to provide an extra blanket and a sheet - so not ideal. The highlight for us was no doubt the restaurant. They had a very interesting menu and with some delicious food. The salmon starter I had is one of the best starters I have ever tasted in my life - so a big compliment to the chef. The place also had a nice swimming pool but unfortunately we were there on a rainy day - so didn't get to use it. "
