"The room and gardens are absolutely beautiful! It is very quiet and serene, and very special to stay in a room literally built against a cliff face. The minibar was well stocked, and prices were reasonable. The view to the Roman buildings is impressive during the day and at night as they are illuminated. A very easy walk into town, and the host have us several recommendations for restaurants. We are at Sal8, which was delicious and very busy/popular, so make sure to book!"

The beach was amazing, and swimming seemed quite safe (we saw a few families with children enjoying the waves!). "What a beautiful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in the best location with views of the piazza and the little port. Spacious room with spacious shower (can be rather small in many places). The staff was wonderful and the restaurant connected to the hotel was superb. Having been in Sicily for already 3 weeks the menu at Vela was a welcomed experience worthy of a trip there for sure. Alice and Giada and whole staff were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended and will visit again for sure."
