"We were just looking for a way to get away from the inner city, Rome, Florence, etc. this is the nicest place in the north we had stayed with the most hospitality in the north definitely recommended stay in the countryside of Tuscany here rather than in Florence Rome, we love it so much. Gorgeous, designed for outdoor living

"We loved our two-week stay at La Villetta and hope to return. It does have a million-dollar view in all directions, and the beautifully landscaped terraces with pavilions provide many places to relax and enjoy the views and surroundings.Paulo was a charming host who provided fresh eggs and La Villetta’s own fantastically good olive oil, and Andrea a responsive and helpful contact. The nearby small community of Montaione is a lovely old hill town with several good restaurants full of local patrons. I’Ciampa was our favorite, and we also enjoyed coffees and pastries at Pasticceria Filli several mornings.The house is charming and comfortable. It was clean and included some very nice touches, like an old pantry cabinet loaded with colorful ceramics, wine glasses, other essentials, and unexpected things like a soup tureen.La Villetta was the home base from which we visited Florence and other Tuscan towns via rental cars, plus a two-day trip to Pompei via train from Florence. Renting a smaller vehicle or vehicles (as opposed to an American full-sized SUV or truck) is a good idea since the local roads are quite narrow, steep, and full of hairpin turns."
