Take your weekend trips at Deep Creek Sunset, one of the oldest properties established in the 1870s, set on a beautiful and pristine deep creek with scores of stunning old trees and wildlife. There is also a beautiful homestead (1876) with established parks and spectacular views near the tiny house where you get to immerse yourself in nature and watch as the sun goes down.

The Space:
The Deep Creek Sunset is the ultimate tiny house Victoria escape in Monegeetta, nearby Mount Macedon, Hanging Rock Winery, Holgate Brewhouse, Camels Hump- Hanging Rock, and Hanging Rock Summit Walk are a few of the recommended attractions our vacationers enjoy.

It's the perfect off-grid experience with a well-equipped kitchenette, pot-bellied stove, queen-sized bed up in the loft, and a couch on the ground floor. If you plan to cook, the kitchenette has everything to cook your light meals, such as cooking tools, cutlery, and a portable electric cooler fridge.

The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Keep in mind that there may be other residences on the property that guests will rent out, so you may run into them when roaming around the property. In addition, we would like to remind guests that this is a limited solar-powered tiny house and we highly recommend to save energy for the entire stay.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and the surrounding areas, including the front garden and tennis court. Additionally, we would like to remind guests that this is a 155-square-foot tiny home that promotes sustainable living in nature.

If you are interested, we also have pre-orders and pick-ups available by prior arrangement with the host 24 hrs before arrival.

- Pick-ups and drop-offs in town can be arranged with your host upon prior request

The Neighborhood:
Deep Creek Sunset sits in the quiet suburbs of Monegeetta, on the easternmost point of the beautiful Macedon Ranges. The ideal tiny house Victoria escape best known for its expansive native forests, iconic geographical attraction, and artisan food, and wine industries. There is also a good swimming area down the creek.

Our local recommendation:

- Kuzu Izakaya is a Japanese restaurant that is a mix of traditional Izakaya staples.
- Camels Hump is the ideal location for hiking while enjoying the beautiful views of Hanging Rock.
- Verdure Bistro is a highly recommended restaurant for brunches as they offer delicious food and coffee.
- Holgate Brewhouse is a family-owned brewery in Woodend that serves traditionally crafted beers since 1999.
- Hanging Rock is a pram-friendly walking path weaved through the reserve, allowing close access to flora and fauna. Hanging Rock Winery and Hanging Rock Summit Walk are two of the best attractions to visit.

Getting Around:
By car: 10 mins to Romsey
28 mins to Woodend
30 mins to Kyneton
25 mins to Hanging Rock
30 mins to Mount Macedon.

By public transport: Southern cross station to Clarkefield station (about 10 mins away). You can arrive by taxi or arrange for us to pick you up at the station.

- Solar-powered ; small fan is provided
- No smoking on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Please be advised that we have cattle on our property
- There will be an extra $30 cleaning fee if you plan to bring your pet
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please take note that outdoor fire pits are not available during the fire season
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
