"This was a room in a many- storied building, just outside the historic City Center. It was a little hard to figure out how to get in since there were so many codes... the key that was in the room didn't seem very useful. There was a very old elevator that you could take up to the room, which was a suite of about four different rentals... however you had to follow the directions precisely, and it seemed a little rickety. The neighborhood didn't seem particularly safe, but the room was very clean...

"My friend and I were desperate to get out of our booking at a very low-class resort and from the minute we secured our room at La Palmette, The staff were amazing to interact with, and made sure we could get into our room before check-in. The location is terrific and drinks with a view at La Palmette club a minute walk away, was fun and lively. Would 12/10 stay here again."

"Calixa is in an excellent location, and Giacomo was so helpful to deal with. I loved the neighborhood, which was convenient in so many ways. If I were to change anything about this experience, it would have not been the rental itself—which was great—but rather the difficulty of dealing with Orbitz/Expedia with a minor issue that they could easily have solved with a little good will. Unfortunately, they did little to help."

"The place was very hard to find as no details for access were received before arrival. luckily, i spotted the plaque near the main door on which it gives contact details of Marcus suite. after calling the number the owner opened the door for me. The room/accommodation is within an appartement on the second floor of the old building. Inside the apartment, it is very clean and tidy, and the room looks spacious; it was recently refurbished with an excellent bathroom and views of the castle. There...

"this is one of the strangest places i have ever stayed in. if you can imagine going back to the 1950's, then everything about this place was like that. the mattress was so cheap that i could actually feel the springs in it. it is like staying on a movie set with everything being exactly like in your Grandma's house. it is an apartment with several bedrooms, but no one else was staying there while i was there. the best word to sum it up is STRANGE."
