For an average of $280 CAD a night this place is absolutely overrated and shouldn’t be posted at that price. The food variety is terrible and very poor. The towels (bathroom and beach) need an upgrade ASAP, after a shower the towels can really scratch you badly! The beach towels seems very overworn and even dirty as they are very old. The worst part is the minimum protection for the sun provided by this hotel to their guests who obviously come to the area to enjoy the beach. They have 16 or 17 beach umbrellas set in the front beach and, even if you get up extremely early (today I was out at 5:50am to get one), they were all “taken”. This really makes me think these German guests just pay for them and their spots (same every day). There are only towels at the chairs, you don’t see these senior guests until later on to come occupy their chairs under these limited umbrellas. My spouse and I travel a lot, and we have stayed at different all inclusives but definitely this one is not worth this price. If I pay an average of $280 CAD a night, I expect a certain standard and that’s not the case. Unfortunately due to another unexpected change in our trip we had to stay one more night here. Paid directly to the property via credit card and it is close to $300 CAD a night but we had to do it. The restaurant and bar staff are friendly, they are probably the best thing this hotel has. I hope Expedia can do something about it and a realistic summary of the property is displayed.

This resort is tucked away in Diani and the perfect place for a peaceful vacation. It is clean and quiet and the staff was amazing. Enjoyed the nightly shows and how small it was making it a very intimate setting. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away from commotion and relax

Service was great, location was divine. I will note that My wife, mother, and I all had GI issues after eating the food in the cafeteria. The food all tasted great and there were many options to eat things that didn’t bother our upset stomachs.

Rather somewhere else next time
Frequent visitor to Diani but first choice (Diani Reef Beach resort) was full. Location great part of beach. Pool big and plenty of loungers. Pool bar good for the all incl bevies. Rooms clean. But, grounds in need of a good tidy, very "rustic" vergibg on shabby. Meals were ok, but flies were plenty. Biggest let down was attitude of the gen manager , John, on my 5th night a friend drove over as we were going out for dinner..i was quite happy to pay for drinks etc but pre going out, and swim in the sea , but the GM chased us down and demanded we pay an extra night for using the facilities. Such as the sea!. It was very Falty Towers, but was complete jobs worth and vad customer relations (in the end we paid us50 so my friend could stay over in my room, originally he wanted the same rare as i had paid..to share!...nb the 50 we paid by card not cash, as the cash would have gone in his pocket...sums it up).

Our duty managers are very professional and consults higher authorities whenever they have a serious issue at hand. I can assure you the manager had zero intentions of pocketing any amount to his pocket. Again, it was a pleasure to host you and I hope we will get a chance to welcome you back again to our beautiful property.

There was a great variety of food to choose from. Staff were great and attentive. Entertainment was great.Need more lighting around walkways as hard to see at night and had to use flashlight .

Delightful!
We've been to many places up and down Diani over the years, and our experience here was a 9 or 10 - absolutely delightful because of the people, the food, the all-inclusive, the gorgeous stretch of beach, the two evening dinners out by the pool under the starlight and more. The property is older and needs investment in the rooms, but the value for money was great for us. We would definitely consider going again.

Schönes Hotel - nervige Beach Boys
Wir waren vor unserer Safari für 2 Nächte in der DSL. Ein netter Mitarbeiter beim Check In. Es war alles sauber, das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Kleiner Balkon mit schönem Ausblick. Essen war ok, es war alles sehr "deutsch" angepasst. Fast nur deutsche Gäste, alles dort auf deutsch. Das muss man im Urlaub mögen, wir fanden es nicht ansprechend. Der Poll und Gartenbereich ist schön, aber die Beach Boys haben uns den Spaß daran genommen, dort zu entspannen. Sie dürfen das Gelände nicht betreten, aber sobald man einen Schritt vom Gelände macht, sind sie da. Sie beobachten die Gäste schon und sobald einer von seiner Liege aufsteht, versuchen sie Kontakt zu schaffen. Damit muss man klar kommen. Das Hotel war gut, aber wir würden nicht wiederkommen.

Hôtel bien situé en face d'une très belle plage de diani ... Hôtel propre avec un beau jardin. A améliorer : l'état des chambres le buffet et la qualité des repas dans le restaurant ... Le personnel : sont gentils mais manque de service ( très long ) ils savent même pas faire des cocktails classiques.. Manque de service dans le restaurant et le snack de la plage. J'ai séjourné à diani sea resort aussi et c'était largement mieux pourtant ça appartient au même propriétaire...
