"We had a lovely stay here! The property is beautiful and like others have said, the pictures don’t even do it justice. It was huge! Very accommodating and a great location. The communication with the management was a bit clunky — it’s hard to provide all the last minute information if you are already traveling and don’t have constant WiFi access. But everything was smooth and I would recommend highly."

Park Hotel Porto Aeroporto

Park Hotel Porto Aeroporto

8/10 Good
"Convient location close to the airport. Comfy beds and easy to get the metro into town. However, no information at airport on where to find the hotel - not helpful at midnight in the rain. We had to resort to googling - not great when our phones hadn't adjusted to Europe. Suggest you download instructions before arriving"

Frequently asked questions

What can I expect on my historical trip to Modelos?
A visit to the historical sites in Modelos is probably on top of your sightseeing itinerary. You'll also want to enjoy all there is to see and do while you're visiting the area.
How many historically relevant hotels are located in Modelos?
You'll find 16 hotels and other lodging options bookable on Expedia in the Pacos De Ferreira area, but not many designated as historic hotels.
What are the must-see historical places and other sights to visit in Modelos?
Places to visit in the wider area include Quinta da Aveleda, Magikland and Monte Castro Mozinho Ruins. You'll also find Dragao Stadium and Guimaraes Shopping Mall in the area.
What is a historic hotel like in Modelos?
A guest who chooses a historic hotel has the chance to stay in a building officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can be palaces, castles, stately homes or even lodges, pubs or skyscrapers — as long as it's of special interest. These types of hotels in Modelos often retain original elements such as period features or traditional architecture in their public spaces or guestrooms.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. "Historic hotel" is a term often used in the US, whereas "heritage hotel" is common in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to emphasise the physical building and architecture. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value and how it inspired the surrounding community.
Do historic hotels in Modelos have modern facilities?
Yes. Every effort is made to preserve treasured traditions and historic facades, but interiors include modern conveniences and safety features. Guests should expect the popular amenities you'd find in a hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, heating and air conditioning, and free and fast Internet. In Modelos, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you will stay in a place that's uncomfortable for guests or rundown.
