The food sucks, it was cold and a buffe a 10 year old with an interest with food could outdo xD my mom has works in a resturant for 18 years and i have loved to cook for all of my 27 years i've been alive, and paying 22 euro per person for that is a joke, you even had to pay for coffe, most drinks where allready done and in buttles, i would say the best part of the food was the hot chocolate you hot to breakfast, witch by itself was warm milk and powder. "If you’re planning to visit Melk Abbey, be aware that Hotel Donauhof is not within walking distance—you’ll need to take a taxi, which costs about €16 each way. Alternatively, there's a bus that runs only once per hour.
The hotel provides no in-room amenities—not even, tea or bottled water—and there is no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in the warmer months after June. There are no activity area around the hotel, with no restaurants nearby except the hotel’s own. During our stay, the elevator was out of order, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs.
If you're visiting Melk Abbey, I would recommend staying in Melk itself. You'll find similar or lower prices, access to a charming small town, and several dining options within walking distance.

"Hotel was clean however was brand new, continental breakfast was a bit off a let down, didnt think there was much of an option, couldnt even get a bit of toast even thought toast machine were there but werent allowed to use..
Air-con also wasnt working and it being very warm outside it was uncomfortable to sleep in.. Didnt get any information from the hotel about aircon not working before arrival.. Also no staff about at nite if needed for any issues or emergencies.."
