Fantastic location and nice new rooms! The junior suite is perfect for two people. You can hear street noise throughout the night even on the high floors and the people above you so if you can’t do white noise/ear plugs you may want to think twice, but near the Gion area is the place to be. The AC works very well for those visiting in the heat. It’s right around the corner from a decent gym (Anytime fitness) if you wish the hotel had one - $16 for a day pass between 10am-7pm. The staff was very friendly. If you need more laundry detergent or any supplies they’ll happily give them to you. The washer/dryer machine was great, very easy to use just translate using Google lens etc. Amazing shower and boujee Dyson hair dryer. Lovely to have a fridge/freezer, nespresso machine, tea maker and microwave - especially with so many good markets around and family mart being directly across the street :) Also, for a rainy evening the tv is very modern and you can login to all of the popular streaming apps Netflix etc. I hope I get to return one day!

Our family of three really enjoyed our stay at MONday Apartment Hotel. There was plenty of space for the three of us and all our luggage (three large suitcases and three smaller bags). Beds were luxury firm and supportive. I especially appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare simple breakfasts for the family each morning. There were also several convenience stores and a supermarket nearby with everything we needed. The location was good overall, although it was about a 7–10 minute walk to the nearest subway station, which could feel a little tiring after a long day of sightseeing. There also weren’t many restaurants within a five-minute walk, and it was about half a mile to the nearest family-friendly restaurant, such as Yayoi-Ken. We really liked the neighborhood’s hip, slightly hidden-gem feel, with independent coffee shops and bakeries tucked away in the surrounding streets. Kiyomizu-dera was also within walking distance, at roughly a 20-minute walk. The room itself was great, but my main complaint was an unpleasant, dirty-water smell coming from both the shower drain and the washing machine. The unit combines a washer and dryer, and the hotel provides detergent. The detergent worked well for our clothes, and we had no issues with skin irritation. However, the dryer was a different story. Although the clothes smelled fine after washing, using the dryer seemed to bake the smell into them. I just hung dry afterwards and didn’t use the dryer.

I stayed here and got 2 rooms for my family. The rooms were very clean and had great amenities. Staff was great and welcoming. Being about 10 minutes walk from Namba was very convenient and there were multiple Family Mart and 7/11s nearby
