"I’d like to start off with the positives, the staff was wonderful. Easy check in, helpful when needing assistance, easy check out. The room itself was pretty good condition, some minimal issues like marks on the wall and my daughter noticed a stain on the comforter cover. Housekeeping did well with our room turnover on our second day. So no complaints there.
But that’s about the end of the positive notes.
I am not certain how old this building is but it looks OLD, for such an up and coming surrounding area. One of two elevators was out of service, and the second almost made me second guess using it. In Fact when I tried to on our first day, it didn’t work. So I took the stairs and was HORRIFIED at the condition of the pool area, there is mold EVERYWHERE and I smelled it before I saw it. The stairway itself was filthy as well. I am truly concerned for staff and guest safety on that floor.
The water pressure in the bathroom was barely existent. More like a drip than a shower. The water from the sink smelled very pungent. Two of us stayed for 3 days and were given 2 towels one hand towel and one washcloth. Very odd.
The AC unit sounds like a freight train, was hard to sleep or stay asleep with the air running.
Overall I was not thrilled with the stay. I’ve paid half the cost at a much better kept Hilton. The owners are fully responsible for the poor conditions here, truly concerning.

"The building is in terrible condition for the price I paid. No amenities. Some guy in an electric wheelchair and cigarette banging on my door at 10am asking me if I was staying. Terrible. Do not book here. "
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg South (I-95), VA
2/10 Terrible
"The pool was freezing, there were no towels at the pool, the staff was rude, there’s only one working elevator in the entire hotel, only 4 channels came in on the television, the 4 tiny old pillows were not sufficient on a king size bed, half the hotel by the pool area was freezing, someone stole our valve cap covers in the parking lot, there’s no security, and we left something in the room and after being told by one person we never stayed in that room- the next one very rudely told me we didn’t leave anything. Save yourself and drive 10 min north to a better hotel. "
Dog-Friendly lakefront home with dock, game room, kayaks, hot tub, & firepit
8/10 Good
"The kitchen amenities were lacking quality mostly. All the pans are teflon and completely unusable and the dishwasher made all the dishes so filthy. I like to cook and being so far from everything, you would expect to be able to cook in the house. The crockpot was missing the crock so we couldnt even use that. For the money I paid, I just expected more. "
"Wow this house is such a treasure! It has so much artistry and character in its quirky collections and cultural artifacts, it’s like a house-museum. There’s so much to discover. Highly recommend the scavenger hunt! The house is also super comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully located on the lake. We loved our visit in the winter (with a day trip to Monticello and a campfire in the snow). I’m sure in the summer it’s incredible. The setup is perfect for multiple family groups (our group had two families with 4 adults and 6 kids age 9-15). The loft is huge and a perfect place to hang out and play games. Kaleigh the host is very friendly and responsive. I hope we will be back!"
