Niwa is a nice oasis in the midst of bustling Tokyo: great location, good restaurants, cool bee-keeping on the property, BUT it's quite dated compared to many other properties I've stayed in on this trip. Tiny rooms, dated bathroom, ancient coffee machine in the room...one can do better for the money.

This is a lovely hotel which is really convenient for the train station. Staff are lovely and the room was clean and spacious. We have stayed here twice now and would always choose the hotel when in Nagano.
