It’s a serene place in the countryside, I really appreciated the planetarium & observatory experience there. The staff and the owner are all very nice, they will help you with anything you need. My room was so big, I couldn’t believe it. The bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms in Tokyo.

Great, unique place, but no dinner for me!
This was a very special experience, and the stargazing was unlike anything I've ever done. However, arriving at the hotel and being told there was no way for me to eat dinner at the restaurant because I hadn't booked 3 days in advance left a bitter taste in my mouth. If you're going to have a rule like that, please MAKE IT CLEAR in your booking details, or with a separate message to those who have booked. It seemed like everyone there knew this except for me (everyone else was Japanese, leading me to believe whatever Japanese booking website they used actually makes this clear). I was forced to hire a cab to take me to 7 Eleven while gazing in at the dining room where everyone else was serenely eating a multicourse meal, and it was maddening.

四人入住獨棟房，空間寬敞、舒適。廁所和浴室分開的設計很棒。 晚上的觀星體驗很有趣，工作人員會用日文和英文解說。 整體的環境非常舒適，非常推薦可以到天文台住一晚。

This is our second visit to Luna and this time we opt for the half japanese half western room as the beds were too hard during our previous visit. The futons were more comfortable this time.The beds were still too hard to sleep on. This time we managed to see the telescope even though the sky was cloudy. It is definitely a great experience and recommended. The food is excellent too.

We have a wonderful stay with lively music and enchanting voice, scrumptious western cusine and extraordinary experience in a tradtional Japanese house with wooden decorations which makes me feel like I became a Japanese living in the 70s. Really amazing and I am definitely will return again as I missed the star observation due to the bad weather. Easy to access by car and the staff there is attentive to our arrival by sending emails to inform on the actual location and meals served. The only thing is I have overlooked and missed his email until the last moment. Thanks for everything... especially the gift which brings us with good memories.

Brilliant hotel with amazing telescope and people
I bring with my 2 yrs old son who love planets and stars. All the hotel environment and facility satisfy him well. It’s amazibg that there is a huge telescope and astronomy tour. The environment of the hotel is nice and comfortable, the food is really good, classical music performance is good, staffs are nice and helpful. Although the weather is too bad and we can’t go outside to the grassplot, but we all have a enjoyable & precious trip.

Amazing hotel near Mt. Aso
The Luna Observatory Auberge Mori No Atelier was an amazing hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous and could even speak a little bit of English, which made our check in a breeze. The room was spacious and offered many amenities. Our family was thrilled to be able to sleep in a tower with a huge telescope right above our room. The dinner was absolutely delicious, best food I have had in Japan so far. The breakfast was a delight and I was impressed to try Pineapple Jam for my first time. My family would all like to come back and stay another night when it is hopefully clear enough to see the stars!!!

Rare Astronomy Experience at Kyushu country side

星の観測で外に出て寝袋に入って横になって星空を見るのか良かったです　スタッフさんの対応も丁寧で良かったです　ただお部屋が古いためトイレやお風呂のドアの開け閉めが固かったです

是一次很特別的體驗，首先18:00會先食西式晚餐，之後20:00就會開始星空體驗Tour，在正式出外觀星前，他們會先安排我們入去一個小型的香港太空館，教導你如何用最容易嘅方法找到星座，亦會告訴我們當天會看到什麼星星，增長簡單天文星座知識。職員說得很有趣，但只有日語，我懂日語，所以覺得很好，就算不懂日語，也可感受模仿星空的效果。 之後會讓我們用天文望遠鏡🔭看星星，看完後再出外面躺著看星星！酒店安排好摺床及睡袋，很細心！ 餐廳員工有禮，房間整潔，但注意房間沒有窗簾布，可能早上會容易早起，不過8點就要食早餐，也需要早起。

很棒的天文旅館
這次選擇獨立的歐風別墅，室內有地暖、空間夠大很適合帶小孩的家庭出遊，距離主館約50公尺，不用太擔心吵到別的房客。 雖然因為下雨，天文台無法打開，但是星空劇場的解說，也是很棒的體驗。解說以日文為主，如果會日文的遊客，收穫會更多。 本次用入住只使用早餐，有生菜沙拉、麵包、濃湯加上熱狗等，份量足夠，大人小孩都能吃飽。 飯店離南阿蘇主要交通要道有段距離，建議自駕比較適合。

It was our first time to visit Aso and we had no idea where to stay. But coincidentally we found out this place and it was the highlight of our trip. The place is located in Minami Aso, southern part of Aso and features stargazing. They own a planetarium, private observatory and large garden to observe stars. On top of cozy and lovely accomodations. Staff are very nice, professional and enthusiastic about stars, space, and the room was large and cozy with a decoy fireplace, a big bathtub, beds & a sofa. And both their dinner and breakfast were amazingly well prepared and delicious. We also could participate in an exclusive stargazing tour at night, which started from planetarium, then go to the observatory to see the moon, mars, Jupiter then, checking it by our eyes in the garden with campfire and hot drinks. This is really worth visiting if you like stargazing, and i highly recommend the experience they provide. Wish to visit again when we come back to Japan. Thank you for the fantastic experience.

天体観測は、あまり条件が良くなくて星空はほぼ見れませんでしたが、スタッフの方のとても楽しいご案内で、とても楽しく過ごさせていただきました。次回は満点の星空を見られるようにリベンジしたいと思います！従業員さんたちの温かなおもてなしがすごく良かったです。とても静かな場所で、ゆっくりくつろぐことができました。ベットルームが2階にあって、快適でした。また是非お伺いしたいと思います。

於天文台觀星活動令人深刻，職員亦會以英語介紹，稍後的草地觀星活動很適合生活於光污染嚴重的大城市的情侶參與，真的很浪漫。晚上由於較冷，觀星時酒店亦有安排睡袋及摺床於草地上，非常貼心。

很美很有氣氛的溫馨旅館，在溫泉區體驗不一樣的一泊二食住宿吧！
非常美的地方！餐點美味，飯店溫馨，住客可以參加免費的天文台望遠鏡導覽，唯一可惜的是入住當天下雨無法真的使用望遠鏡。入住樓中樓四人房建議選擇一樓是榻榻米、二樓是床的和洋式房型，比較寬敞；另一種上下樓都是床的房型略窄，且走房內樓梯會有聲音，然後行李沒有電梯要自己搬上二樓較累。

久しぶりに、満天の星を見ました。とても良かったです。夕食もフレンチで、ワインが美味しかったです。

窓から熊本城が見える
熊本城を正面に見るお部屋。 今は地震被害の修復中の様子を眺めることができます。 周囲は落ち着きあるエリアで喧騒とは無縁。良い滞在でした。

很有特色的旅館
優點： *假日常會有樂隊在吃飯時即席演出，別有一番風味。 *餐點不錯。 *戶外空間很大，早點來可以在草皮上做一些戶外遊戲。 *有獨特的天文台和球形4K投影，雖然聽不懂日文但還是覺得很有趣，很難得可以這樣看星星。 *晚上大草皮會準備躺椅，可以很放鬆地觀看星星或是聊聊天。 缺點： *客房設施稍舊稍差，電源插頭數量不多，廁所較為狹小。 *當天要靠運氣才能看到星星，下雨或雲多的狀況就會很可惜。 *浴室真的是浴室，可以泡澡但只有兩間，空間比較狹小，真的是純洗澡不會有泡湯的感覺。如果要租露天的泡湯池就需要額外付費。 整體來說，是間特色很明顯的旅館，但除了特色以外的都比較普通。

A pretty nice lodge in general. Room is small and difficult to accommodate the suitcase. Catering above-average. Special astronomical activity at night (but no English commentary)

今後リピート希望の星好きには最高の宿！
プラネタリウムや天体望遠鏡の体験が出来るとあって家族で宿泊しました。 チェックインでもスタッフの気の使いように感動し、庭で遊べるようにハンモックやブランコ、そして無料で借りれるバトミントンやボールなどあり子供連れでも安心していかれるところでした。特に天体望遠鏡は宿泊者は無料ですし子供にも優しいガイドで子供の大満足。料理は高級レストラン同様の味と品の良さに感動しました。部屋では床暖房ですし居心地が良いです。ベットがチグハグに設置されていましたが、寝ているときに子供がベットの隙間に挟まないように気を使ってくれたことにも更に感動！！今後もリピートしたいと思うばかりです。ただ少し残念なことはベットが古く寝返りするとギシギシ音が鳴り、布団も小さいことでしょう。
