"The Henlopen is right on the boardwalk. Within one minute you're on the beach and a quick ten minute boardwalk stroll to the center of town. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view from our oceanfront balcony was as good as it could get. We watched the sun rise over the crashing waves almost every morning. As I see it, the only downside for this hotel might be that there's no pool. However, we didn't really miss it. For its location and cleanliness, we were very pleased with our stay at the Henlopen. "

"Perfect place for kids. Right on the beach--indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor playground, and a lovely indoor ice skating rink so there was never a need to drive anywhere, even when it was raining. Mini-kitchens are pretty basic so bring your own silverware and plates, but a good grocery store is right across the street. Main parking lot fills up but tons of room in the garage which is right next door. AC was too high when we arrived but fixed quickly when we asked. Outdoor restaurant was very nice and reasonable. Same chef does the indoor one so I suspect it was fine as well. Great live entertainment as well!"

"The resort is nice. The rooms are nice but housekeeping always forgets something and you have to run down to the front desk or catch housekeeping in the hallway. The view on ocean side is wonderful. The outside bar is well attended. The inside bar, you have to be a beautiful woman to get good service when busy. The bar menu has a wonderful burger! Not impressed with the new restaurant. The portions and quality wasn’t worth the price. "

"Great experience! The location is perfect. It is an older hotel, but they have maintained it well. The bathroom is very small, but has everything you need. Very well done. The staff is top notch! So helpful and all smiles. "
