I was a little unsure about staying in a tiny home but this one is just perfect. There are three places to sleep plus a sofa in the living area. Everything you need in the kitchen plus a big front deck for grilling and eating. It was so cozy and the perfect getaway in a tiny space. Can't wait to get back to Mills River!

Woodland hideaway
This adorable tiny home is well appointed and just as cute as the pictures. Added surprise was the location. It's convenient to the airport, yet secluded and quiet. The morning sunrise falls on the lake and the neighboring cabin. Everything was quaint and just what I wanted for a weekend getaway.

Cozy indeed, not Lakeview
I wanted to love this tiny cabin, I really did. I searched for a place to take our family for a rather impromptu Biltmore visit, and options were limited, but this place looked clean, and was priced fairly reasonably for a last minute trip. Decor is cute, cabin is fairly well appointed. Location is close to Biltmore, easy to find, and quiet. The “Lakeview” is really a very small pond, which didn’t make a difference to us necessarily, but slightly misleading for anyone who might be looking for actual lake views. The cabin is decorated just fine, but the layout was really tight. We were 2 adults and 2 children (age 6&8), thinking the adults would take the King bed in the loft, but there was no way adults could do anything more than army crawl to bed in either loft space, so we ended up sleeping in the Double Murphy bed. I’m a fairly strong woman, but could not have pulled the Murphy bed down myself. My fiancé significantly bruised his toe and finger getting the beds mechanisms to release the bed from the wall. When the bed is down, it blocks the entrance to the bathroom, which was of minimal inconvenience to us having the kids crawl over our bed to access the bathroom but I would not be ok with that if we had been a party of 5 adults as the cabins states it accommodates. The railings on the two lofts concerned me with two children sleeping up there as they could have easily rolled off, but I managed to used extra pillows, a tote, and other things from the cabin to create a bit of a wall to eliminate that concern. The bathroom faucet is pointless as it doesn’t run a water stream heavy enough to rinse a toothbrush let alone wash hands or faces. We spit toothpaste into the toilet or kitchen sink since we were unable to rinse it from the bathroom sink. The hot water lasted for one quick shower in the mornings, and was seemingly non-existent in the evening hours, as both evening during our stay I attempted a shower but was unable to get anything more than freezing cold water. Very frustrating after a day exploring the mountains during the winter months. I actually never got a hot shower during our stay. The metal bars up to the twin loft seemed to want to pull out from the wall when my ~200lb fiancé when to climb up to say goodnight to my child sleeping up there. My 120lb frame had no issues, but if anyone has physical limitations whatsoever they wouldn’t be making it up to that side of the loft. The climb made me nervous, especially for my kids. But in the end, the kids loved the lofts and had a blast. We made the best of a very small situation.
