Milan: Elegant and Central Apartment in front of Castello Sforzesco

This recently renovated apartment is on second floor of a typical building of the first years of 1900, in the central Piazza Castello, with both bedrooms looking onto the beautiful Castello Sforzesco and Parco Sempione, the largest public park in Milan.
The Duomo of Milan is a 10-minute walk along the pedestrian-only Via Dante. The financial district and the fashion district are both at walking distance. In the neighborhood of Piazza Castello you will also find Santa Maria delle Grazie, famous for the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, and the Brera quarter, famous for Pinacoteca, art schools and night life.
The area is also very well served by public trasportation: in fact, both the red line and the green line of the subway are at 100 meters, in Piazza Cadorna; this way, most of the city (including the slightly out-of-town new Milan Fair) is within 30 minutes from the apartment. Several buses and trams stations in the area, and the new public bike sharing service complete the offer.

Our host Andrea was friendly and very easy to communicate with. He met us at the apartment and took time to explain the details (access to the apartment, building rules, how to operate everything). Although it was sparsely decorated and had an unenclosed shower in the bathroom, the balcony and windows overlooking the Castello Sforzesco made for a memorable stay, and the location was amazing for walking to all the sights.

Charming apartment in Milan

Andrea was a very welcoming host and spent lots of time going over the apartment. It is in a great location with a beautiful view of the castle. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great views, perfect location

The unit is everything the description says it is. Comfortable, literally across the street from Sforza castle, views are great. Walking distance from the Duomo and all the city center has to offer. Host Andrea is lovely, patient and very communicative. Loved this stay.

Fabulous spot!!

What a great apartment—it was perfect for our needs, and Andrea was a terrific host! The apartment is in a great location and it was well-appointed! We should absolutely stay there again if our travels return us to Milan!

I mean, you're RIGHT next to the castle, how cool is that?

You can see it from the bedroom, it's so nice! It also has a lovely balcony to take it all in.The place had everything we needed, and we needed to laundry and that was a huge plus.Highly recommend.One note: do be careful leaving the window open as mosquitoes will get in and try to bite you in your sleep. Other than that (self-inflicted) the place was lovely.

Awesome location

Great location. Nice and central and close to transit. The apartment was very clean. Andrea did a great job of messaging me with updates prior to our trip. On the day of our arrival Andrea met us in person and walked us through the features of the apartment. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Milan!

We had a great time in Milan! This was a great area to stay in. It was a short walk to the Duomo and around the corner from the train station. It was very easy to get there from MXP. The view is of the Castello and you feel like royalty when waking up in the morning. The host was extremely kind and friendly.

Me and my Father really enjoyed our stay at Andrea’s!! Andrea is a great host who is very kind and welcoming. Despite the language barrier, he communicated with us very well and treated us with care. If you ever need anything, he makes sure to help you to the best of his ability. The apartment is homey and is a great location to explore Milan. Dining, shops, transportation, and tourist locations are all within walking distance. If I ever come back to Milan, I definitely stay here again!!

Clean, spacious apartment with awesome views of the castle from all windows! Great location Short walk to restaurants, local transportation, parks, and of course, the castle! Andrew is a wonderful host who was very thoughtful and quite helpful! He is an excellent communicator even with our language barrier!

Best view and location in Milano

The apt is very big and comfortable with beautiful balcony and window opening towards the Castello Sforzesco, in the best location of Milano. Short walking to the major sights, Cadorna train station and shopping. The elevator is antique and working as well as everything in the apartment. I highly recommend this place. The host is very helpful too.

Great Location!!

We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights! Very simplistic apartment with a great view of Sforza castle. Bed was fairly comfortable with a medium firm mattress. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer which was helpful. Walking distance to the Duomo

Milano stay

Lovely historic property with period charm. Andrea was enthusiastic and friendly. He's very organized. We had everything we needed for a great stay. Presently, there's some maintenance underway at Sforzesco Castle that created a bit of construction noise, but that's obviously temporary!! The location is wonderful.

Best location, best host!

We loved staying at Andrea’s apartment. He is a very attentive host and the location was great. The Castello Sforzesco is right outside, 5 mins walk from Caderno Metro and 10 mins walk to the Duomo. The apartment building itself is a really interesting period building with an old school wooden lift and doors about 5” thick. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed for a short stay. I’d highly recommend it.

Great location, great host

Super clean, easy to work with host Andrea (his English is much better than my Italian, but his translating app was put to good use!). Older building and some quirky things to be aware of (don't run dishwasher and washing machine at the same time, etc), a few creaky floors, but comfortable bed and an incredible setting just opposite Sforza Castle. Convenient to Cadorna AND Cairoli transit stations (the latter is where we picked up the HOHO bus AND a tour bus to Lake Como). You can take the Malpensa Express from Cadorna station to the Malpensa airport if needed. Some good restaurants nearby, and a little grocery store not too far. Close to The Last Supper too (15 minute walk, be sure to get your tickets early or do a LivItaly tour like we did). In short, Andrea was a great host and we were very comfortable in this apartment. Thank you, Andrea!

Just Perfect!

Right from the moment we met Andrea we knew we would be very well looked after. Andrea met us at the time arranged and took us through the apartment, he ensured that we were comfortable and that all our needs were met. The apartment is bright and airy, overlooking the Castello Sforzesco, fortress, palace and now a museum with parkland, it has a little balcony which was a bonus for viewing. The apartment is very central, but also quiet, within a secure building in a beautiful and historic part of Milan.Walking distance to just about everything! The Duomo of Milano - the Cathedral, the amazing shopping precinct and lots of other interesting precincts with restaurants and galleries within the city. We walked everywhere, however the tramline and trains are also so very close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our very comfortable stay in the apartment.

Wonderful quirky apartment

We had a great time staying here. The apartment had all our needed amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and huge windows with lots of natural light. Andrea is a fantastic host and was very communicative and responsive to our needs. Be aware that it is in an old building with some quirks, so you may have to adjust your expectations, but it worked well for us. The location couldn't be better: just a short walk to restaurants and shops and, of course, right across the street from the Castillo and a short 6-minute walk to the metro station. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience for our first time in Milan!

The Castle View

We were able to find a lovely Cafe just around the corner. The Majestic Cafe and Bistrot. Claudia was an amazing hostess. I had lost my ability to venture very far so this was perfect. Our accommodations were very old which made them eccentric. The central heating wasn’t turned on during our stay so the cold weather made the apartment very cold. Our host only spoke Italian but translating by phone app worked just fine. Andrea was a great help with logistics. Thanks Andrea!
