We're not gamblers, but needed a place to stay during a road trip and the advertised $40 room rate was great. It took me awhile to figure out where the self-parking was and then I learned that we had to get our room key to use it. So, my son sat in the car with the luggage while I checked in. There are no front desk people to help you. Guests use kiosks to check in, with an employee standing by to help. If you encounter a problem, you have to wait if the employee is helping someone else and then flag them. Since I booked my room through a third party, rather than through the hotel directly, the confirmation number was different and the machine could not find my reservation. Staff had to look me up and tell me what my confirmation number was. As I proceeded to check-in, I learned that there was an additional $20 parking fee. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Once checked in, I had to wait for a QR code and my room number to be texted to me and then move over to a row of tablets to scan the code and activate my room cards. Honestly, this process would have been quicker with a live person and could be stressful for someone not tech savvy. Got the car parked and brought luggage in. Finding our ground level room was confusing. After hauling our luggage around, we had to ask someone for help. Total time from when I entered the building to getting to our room was about 1 hour! No refrigerator in room. Beware of sales people in the lobby.
