"Excellent stay - have stayed before at McDonald Villacana resort, but needed to be a little closer to Calahonda this time. The apartment we had was on the first floor with a sea view from the balcony. The apartment was larger than expected and had a large balcony too (big enough for a table with 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers without being cramped). An added bonus was the washing machine in the apartment. Food in the restaurant was great - wouldn't hesitate to use again or to recommend."

"A work in progress hotel, the front of the house and bedroom / bathrooms are very attractive and of high quality. Pool and surrounds are all painted concrete. Host is a pleasant Belgian although we were greeted by " you are only staying for one night but you are supposed to have a minimum stay of 2 nights, but it is OK you can stay anyway, it is not a problem", in which case why mention it. It is not serviced like a hotel so what you see on arrival is what you get for your stay. That being said, I only stayed for 3 nights so for a longer trip, maybe the towels are changed.
