Lovely villa with great views in quiet urbanisation

A nicely decorated and well maintained semi-detached villa in an established, well-kept urbanisation. Wonderful views from the top floor terrace and beautiful sunsets. So peaceful we slept like logs the whole time. Given it's on the side of a mountain expect narrow, steep roads to get there, and several steps down to the villa - not a problem for us, simply letting others know. The town of Mijas is delightful - it's a 20-25 minute uphill walk but the good news is it's downhill home ;-)

Nice relaxing break, a home from home, but warmer!

We stayed here in August 2016 with two small children aged 5 and 7. The house is lovely and welcoming with all you could require for self catering - if you choose to stay in! The village is tucked away up the mountain, so quiet, beautiful and tranquil. Mijas town is great for eating out with lots of restaurants and horse carriage rides centered in a recently refurbished central square. The pools by the house are great, nice and clean with kids sections and sunbeds. Fuengirola is just down the mountain 10 mins by car and is a lovely seafront town with everything going on - with a great permanent funfair for the kids that is open till the very early hours! Loads and loads of restaurants, bars etc. Marbella and Puerto Banus is a little further along the coast if you fancy spending a bit of time amongst the rich and famous with super yachts and expensive sports cars at Puerto Banus. The house is not far from Malaga airport, ample parking outside and is very secure. The air conditioning is new and a great addition. We had a wonderful stay here and we very much look forward to returning soon for another stay.

Return of Security deposit concern

I still haven’t heard anything about the return of my security deposit. I asked for it immediately after returning home. I am not impressed that this is not automated.

Very pretty and private urbanización. Attractive property, carefully and tastefully designed.

(Continued from above) Extremely well equipped (apart from, surprisingly, no microwave), bright and spacious. Lovely views. Unfortunately the mid-February weather was mostly cold and dreary so no chance to use and enjoy the property, especially upstairs terrace, to its full potential. Obviously a lot of care and quality has gone into this property.

Spacious villa with stunning views set in peaceful area

Mijas la Nueva is a special spot. Unique local rules and regs ensure absolute peace and tranquility for your stay. The villa is set amongst mature, very clean and well maintained community full of friendly neighbours eager to help out or just say hello. Whilst the villa is not huge, the presence of two very large "balcony" areas ensure lots of space to relax, take in the sun, have a BBQ, and just enjoy the view. And a large pool and local bar / restaurant are just 5 mins stroll away. Villa is comfortable with pleasant furniture and all mod cons including an endless selection of TV channels and movies to watch if that's your thing. Spotlessly clean throughout. Whole area feels safe and secure. You can walk into Mijas - it's a good 20mins - uphill on the way - and worth it since plenty to eat and drink in the very pleasant town - with reasonable shops too (mini supermarkets and tourist nick naks / jewellry etc.) Fuengirola is 15min down the hill - check Google Maps first though since it has a habit of taking you down the windiest steepest roads vs. the main roads !! Lovely,

Perfect for our stay, spotless, Very comfortable and welcoming. Very secure

We, 2 couples and 1 child stayed here for 2 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, our 5th visit to mijas. House was everything we wanted, roof top for bbqs, local communal, pool with bar for a quick drink or snack. The kitchen, bathrooms and communal areas were very well kept, and resourced with all items needed. It was so nice that little items were there left by owners or visitors, made such a difference. Would happily return. So quiet, beautiful views. Car needed to get to the town. Not a far, only a few mins, but it a little too much for small legs.

Beautiful house and wonderful surroundings. The house was fully equipped and we didn’t miss a thing.

The only things that was disturbing was that the rules by the pool were totally ignored, and that there are no garbage bins in the whole area for 189 houses. Ending up with driving down the mountain with the filthy bags holding them outside the car window for about 10-15 min. Very strange arrangement!?!?

Lovely and relaxing holiday

The villa was perfect and accommodated our family of 5 very well. A great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The pool was also lovely and usually pretty quiet so we spent many hours down there. Would absolutely recommend this villa. We had a great 2 week holiday!

Lovely, relaxing week in the sun

A beautifully maintained and well equipped house in a lovely, peaceful urbanización. The views from the top terrace are spectacular, and we enjoyed unwinding there at the end of the day. Although the lower pool was closed during our visit, the upper pool was perfect for our needs, and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves most days. Our little boy particularly loved it. The house is very convenient for Mijas Pueblo, and although I’ll admit that the walk in proved a bit too steep for the very pregnant member of our party, we were able to drive to the edge of town and walk the rest of the way with no problem at all. Scott, who manages the property, was also very responsive to our emails, and we were incredibly grateful to him for allowing us a late check-out on our final day so we could spend some extra time at the pool before heading back to rainy Britain! All in all, we had a delightful and restful week and we would not hesitate to recommend this house.

Lovely stay in a charming villa

We – a family of 3 adults and a teenager from Vancouver, Canada - had a lovely stay at charming Casa Mirador in late March 2018. We had difficulty finding the villa and therefore the company representative left before we finally found it. Casa Mirador is obscured from the little street and we spent about an hour walking around it and checking every villa in the neighborhood. We didn’t have a European phone provider on our arrival and really appreciated our neighbors’ offer to use their phone when we first arrived. We were given instructions over the phone how to access our villa, which was great. Our communication with the managing company was good (via phone and e-mail). (We did have some confusion during the booking stages, but it was successfully cleared before we left for Spain). Casa Mirador is very well maintained, very clean and comfortable bedding. It has two relaxing patios (one covered and another -upstairs - very open with beautiful views of hills and sea in a distance. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and lots of cooking utensils. Overall impression is that this place is very well looked after. They put together a binder with very detailed instructions on everything, orientation and all kinds of information, which was very useful. Casa Mirador is very secure even though it does not have a safe. We felt very at home there. Our security deposit has been refunded within 2 weeks. We didn’t use Carob Bar (within 2 min walk), as the new owners just took over and were in the process of getting it ready for opening on the day we left. They are planning to have longer operating hours, which is a plus for future stays. The community pool was under renovation or some kind of construction. Unfortunately the weather was too cold and windy for the most part of our stay, and therefore we didn’t plan to use the pool. The villa is located in a charming quiet neighborhood about 20 min picturesque uphill walk (10 min to come back :) ) to Mihas (with very overpriced shops and restaurants) and about 10 min drive to Fuengirola with more café, beachfront restaurants choices, market, shops, and train. Overall, we had a very pleasant and memorable stay.

Beautiful place for family and couples

We had a lovely stay here. It is clean and just beautiful. We found our way after consulting the rental office and google maps. The house was comfortable. It's a safe area and the complex around was lovely. For all different occasions family or couples it's perfect. It's a short drive down to Mijas Pueblo. We would recommend this house to anyone because it is just a great place and lovely.

Superb Holiday

Four of us had a wonderful holiday in this beautifully maintained and extremely well equipped house. The downstairs patio provided shade for breakfast. The 1st floor patio was perfect for pre dinner drinks and our evening meal. We were very pleased to find a built in barbecue which we found very useful and used quite a few times during our stay there. The house is just a few minutes walk past the tennis court and one of he pools to a lovely friendly bar with drinks at very competitive prices. We drove to Fuengarola, a short 10 min drive, where there are lots of restaurants and lots of shops! And of course a beautiful beach. We also found a large choice of beach restaurants at a place called La Cala serving superb sea food. Altogether a great holiday. The house has lots of room for 6 people and we would highly recommend it.

Highly Recommended

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable week here in October and wished we could have stayed longer. The house, which has recently been very tastefully refurbished, is set in the hills of Mijas with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside extending out to the sea. We ate most of our meals out on the shady ground floor terrace, but we also made good use of the first floor terrace which was ideal for sunbathing and for enjoying an evening barbecue whilst watching the stunning sunsets. There was air conditioning throughout and with the bedroom/bathroom combinations on both floors it would be perfect for two families to share. We found this an ideal location for visiting the delightful town of Mijas and within a short drive we were on the coast at some of the wonderful sandy beaches between Fuengirola and Benalmadena. We also made use of the two large swimming pools and when we did eat out we found some great restaurants nearby. All in all, a very well equipped holiday home in a great location which we would highly recommend.
