"The room had a bad smell! Almost like it hadn't been used in awhile. Dead bugs in the corners. Tile floors were sandy (I get it's the beach.) Hotel needs alot of work! I paid WAY too much for the quality I received. Probably won't be back. "

"Where to begin. Check in was wonderful. After that problems began. Toilet was mini frig were broken and had to be fixed. We went to dinner and the waitress was incompetent. First, she got our appetizer wrong. Then she brought out my fries 20 minutes before my burger and the correct appetizer. We were trying to enjoy a nice dinner and this table was screaming like they were in a sports arena. Waitress did nothing to make any of this right. On top of that my medium burger was well done, burnt, and disgusting. For the amount of money and our only vacation in two years, I’m disappointed. Rest assured I won’t recommend or be back. I work too hard for my money to be wasted. Yes, I told staff and no, nothing was done when I checked out today."

"Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not the best. The breakfast was very disappointing and honestly one of the worst parts of the stay. I truly would not recommend the hotel breakfast (The Abalone). Additionally, the front desk staff was not very friendly or understanding when I asked for a late check-out of just 20 minutes. They did not seem very welcoming in the morning. On the positive side, the housekeeping staff was wonderful — very kind, generous, and professional throughout the stay. They were definitely the highlight of the experience. Additionally, the beach view was beautiful, and the bar staff was exceptional."

"We have stayed at this property a few times now. The rooms are very large and spacious. Everything was clean and well maintained. Check in staff and housekeeping were all very friendly and accommodating. We arrived several hours before check in time, and they were able to get our room cleaned quickly so we could go ahead and check in. We had a beautiful view from our balcony. The pool looked nice, although we did not have time to enjoy it. There is breakfast in the morning, although we did not eat at the property. I wish there was a little cafe, or snack bar open late, but definitely not a deal breaker. Parking is limited, and the underground parking is a little difficult with larger vehicle (Yukon), but not impossible. We would definitely stay here again."
