Lovely location, property very clean & tidy, close to tavern & coffee shop. Swim spa was awesome after a long walk along the coast. Host was very accommodating and friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Alec met us upon arrival to run through the house and swim spa. The beds were very comfortable and the entire house was very clean and spacious. The swim spa was great. It was clean and a hit with all guests. The kitchen was well equipped and had so many appliances you wouldn’t normally have at other stays including an air fryer, rice cooker and slow cooker. Definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back again in the future.
We had a relaxing long weekend in a nice clean environment. Loved the area and the spacious rooms. Amazing place to stay with lots of cool things to do like the piano, netflix, chess and games and the pool spa 10/10 👌
We had an amazing family holiday. The swim spa is awesome and we really enjoyed exploring the area and tourist hot spots.
Alec is very friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend this property.
Thankyou for having us Alec.
A superbly clean, spacious house with lots of room for a girls weekend away. The spa was a highlight. Great location. Communication with the owner was great - he met us at the house and gave us a tour. I would definitely stay here again.
The owner was so obliging and friendly, he has put in so much.effort and love into his dream house and it shows. Loved the spa and the privacy it had. One of the shortest stays anywhere but seriously one of the best.
Well suited to two families of four. Loads of space. Excellent facilities. Very comfortable. Spa bath is gorgeous and super clean too. Happy to recommend.
The best place to be with friends and family. The house is beautiful and spacious. The jacuzzi/hot tub is the best thing! Keeps u busy with friends. Very close to the beach. And beautiful surrounding.
Beautifully presented home with a great outdoor area on the lower level with cafe blinds and a huge upstairs deck with heating and BBQ installed. Alec is a great host and explained everything we needed to know at check in
The home is very spacious so it was great for a family get away. The two main bedrooms have ensuites so we all felt we had our own spaces. Bedrooms have comfy beds - the linen and bedroom furniture is basic but fine. The Aboriginal art amongst the home is a nice touch. The home is positioned well to be able to walk to bakery, pub and cafe. We drove to the local beaches but the swim spa was a great feature for when we wanted a dip. Would stay again
Alec was a gracious host, who allowed for my daughter and friends to hire the house during schoolies festival. Alec was very trusting and true to his word.
We paid a higher bond, as agreed by the two of us, and it was returned to me immediately.
The communication was always friendly, and we are so thankful for having the girls stay at your house.
Overall experience was as expected and advertised. Quiet location and accessible to all local places
Only a couple of considerations.
The lounges look fantastic but are not very comfortable and tend to slide forward on them. The rug in the main lounge was a trip hazard as it kept curling up. At this end of the market unlimited wifi is expected. A booklet with all information and FAQ of the house would be good. Needs a secure side gate. A key safe out front would be worthwhile. None of these things are deal breakers but would bring the property up to 5 stars.
The house itself was nice enough but no smart tv in main lounge upstairs, only tiny one in one of the 4 bedrooms, bed linen and beds were not the quality we’ve had before which have been less expensive for 2 nights stay. Having to meet the owner to take us through everything rather than a diary with all the information. Hardly any condiments supplied again compared to other beautiful places we have stayed in for much less we could not check in till 4pm which is the latest we’ve ever had for check in.. Overall would not stay again..

Nice house, terrible host. Beware of price scamming. Detailed review.
It started with the check in process.
At 12pm on the day of check in we’d received no instructions/ correspondence from the host. Which was a little disconcerting having booked 12mths prior and were mid-drive from interstate.
We left multiple messages, when at 2pm the host finally called to say the keys would be left out.
We arrived to find overflowing bins, no towels and one of the king beds had no linen at all, with none to be found. Other reviews mention this too.
Disappointingly the host never had the decency to return our messages so we used our beach towels for showers and two old ones found in a linen cupboard, and went and purchased linen for the bed.
Upon departure all beds were made, towels and kitchen tea towels washed, dishwasher on and all rubbish removed.
So you can imagine the surprise when almost 3 weeks after our stay we were charged an additional $500 on our credit card without any correspondence.
The charges were apparently for pet fee, additional guest fee, damage to the roller door, scratches on the back door and damage to flywire door.
When the accomodation was booked (Dec '21) it was listed as pet friendly (which can be substantiated) and no additional fees were mentioned Stayz have confirmed this charge should not have been added.
We booked for 4ppl and it accommodates 8, we had a friend stay one night (well below capacity) and he has taken a fee for ‘extra guests. Again Stayz have confirmed that these charges are against policy.
We were advised that the garage was for personal use, bikes, surfboards were not included so wet left the car out and never even opened the garage so have no idea about this either.
The scratch damage from our dog is blatantly untrue because we were with her the whole time and she has been extensively trained.
Finally the flywire door was problematic from arrival, not damaged just rigid on its tracks. Nothing a good clean wouldn’t fix, something I’d expect a holiday property in this price range would have maintained for guests prior to arrival.
The unsubstantiated costs have been charged to our credit card without permission, correspondence or evidence. It's clearly a scam to recoup costs incurred either through previous occupants or owner damage.
At time of writing we’ve still not heard back from the host and are in dialogue with Stayz, who too haven’t been able to get hold of him as we try to recoup the additional charges.
So please beware if booking this place!
