"Our stay at Amelia’s was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. This is ideal for anyone seeking privacy, luxury, and an authentic Jamaican experience.As a single parent traveling with a teenage daughter, safety, cleanliness, and clear communication were essential, and Amelia’s exceeded expectations. The house is fully solar-powered with strong Wi-Fi. Although AC is available, we never needed it. The fans and cool mountain evenings kept the villa comfortable.Despite hurricane Melissa affecting nearby areas, the property itself was unaffected. We experienced a brief water interruption, which was resolved quickly, and the staff was extremely responsive.Access to the villa involves several stairs, so it may be challenging for guests with mobility issues. We forgot our mosquito repellent and regretted it. The team arranged an onsite hair braider for my daughter at a very reasonable rate. We provided the hair and tools, and the results were excellent. Natalie, the chef, was also available for off-property requests for a fee, and we reimbursed her for items purchased on our behalf, which made it easy to fully relax. Giovanni, the grounds manager, was always available, and Lorraine and team were attentive while still giving us privacy.Communication before and during our stay was excellent. I highly recommend Amelia’s for anyone seeking a peaceful experience. "

"Very quiet, maintained very well and the staff Ms. Bev, Donna and Randy were absolutely perfect. They were accommodating without being noticed. The masseuse was awesome. The fishing trip is for the hearty. Local wooden boats with no creature comforts. The beach is almost vacant. I think there were a total of 9 people on the beach all week. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I highly recommend Ranny the driver. We will be coming back."

"Got attacked by bed bugs! Room was not very clean. Didn’t have a working tv for 3 days. The staff wasnt very friendly. Unless you were a priority guest, you weren’t really treated the same. Booked a luxury resort for our anniversary and we’re expecting it to be better. The resort itself was beautiful and the food was delicious. "

"We arrive to the most beautiful house wonderful guest host… house was very clean just as described on the website. We had three wonderful staff that greeted us and was there with us throughout the stay meals were prepared as we requested. Everything was delicious and went quite well…. we took in a few of the local stores and restaurants, and that also was wonderful."

"Our family had an amazing time! The house was gorgeous and spotless, and some days, we had the beach all to ourselves. The internet was top-notch. The house also has Netflix and board games as additional entertainment. The only suggestion I have is to put mosquito nets over the beds. We’d definitely come back again!"
