Great place to enjoy Mexican colonial style. Food is very good and rooms comfortable. Many restaurants, mall and El Angel are in walking distance. Our first stay was in 1977, definitely we will stay again. We thank the staff for 5 stars service.

Great Hotel in perfect central Location. Very friendly staff and clean Rom. Be aware that this is an old but beautiful Hotel. This means the furniture etc do match the design but is old. The Location and quality of the hotel are a great deal for the price.

The common areas were lovely and impeccably maintained. The rooms were not up to the beauty of the common areas at all. They need serious updating. Since from what I saw, it caters to mostly adults, bathtubs are unnecessary, and for older guests, a hazard. The restaurant serves good food; the wait staff is excellent. Towels of different sizes were in short supply, like hand towels, and we were given facial towels instead. Amenities were adequate.

Crazy internet policy

Everything was good except for the internet policy which was not published anywhere before booking. They only allow one device per person. They will allow for more with an extra fee, but they don't tell you that until you complain.

Maria Cristina hotel location is outstanding we could walk for dinner just a few steps, also public transportation points are so close. The BAR is very nice and breakfast is awesome.

I liked the location, which was quiet and not far from the historic district or Chapultepec. The hotel lounges are quite pleasant. However, the “double” beds are very small. It's difficult for two people to fit in them, even though we're fairly slim. The internet access is terrible for a hotel of this standard. Only two devices can connect per room (so you have to choose between a phone and a computer, and if there are three of you, it gets very complicated). And even when you do get a connection, it's very unstable and of very poor quality. I strongly advise against this hotel for people who need to work remotely. There is no soap or shampoo in the showers. On the other hand, they are very flexible about check-out, which can be done at 2 p.m. This is rare and worth mentioning.
