We really enjoyed the stays in the hotel Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Great location which is just beside the plaza and easy access to everything. There is a lounge my husband love to go and rest, lovely. The staff gave my baby a lion doll with the hotel name on it the day we checked out. It made his day. Very sweet

The beautiful Gran Hotel offers a historical building lover's delight. The restaurant is open air with a fantastic view of the Zocalo but can be very breezy. We found the breakfast expensive. The staff is attentive.

Beautiful and historical hotel right on the main square (Zocalo). The room was very large and comfortable for 2 friends. The rooftop bar/restaurant looks over the main square, including the Cathedral, and it was amazing. I highly recomend and would stay here again!

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is great, the only issue is the fact we arrived when there was a teacher strike going on that caused many streets to be blocked off. So getting to the hotel was difficult. But in no means their fault. They did everything possible to assist in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately we did not get to do many of the plans we had due to the strike, basically the only good thing out of or vacation was the hotel.

I spent the final night of a 12-night trip to Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico, located in the Historic Center with a fantastic view of the Zocalo from the rooftop restaurant. The room was very comfortable, the staff was excellent, and the food, including the buffet breakfast, was good. I recommend a stay here.
