Not ideal for rest or comfort, but the staff and location is great!!!!
Clean room, staff were great, location is amazing - close to many major tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping However, be aware that outside noise is near constant and walls between rooms are far from sound proof.
If you want to stay in the historic district, be in a walkable area, and do not mind the loud atmosphere then this is the place to stay. The hotel itself is in a very historic building. The hotel breafast was a buffet and something i would definitely skip because there are way better options outside.
The location was thr best. In the heart of the city and walkable to so many historical places, not to mention in front of the Zocalo and Cathedral. The staff was very attentive and we loved the historical hotel. We would love to stay again.
Everyone was great ….its kinda loud outside from people in the streets walking / partying etc other than that it was great and the food with the view was 💯
My family and I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was great. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with wooden floors. It had a view to the Zócalo, Palacio de Gobierno, and Catedral. The hotel has its own Mexican charm. The terrace restaurant was convenient and had a beautiful view of the Zócalo. The elevator helped a lot because there are many stairs and was always attended by friendly staff members. The only thing we didn’t like in our room was the noise from outside at any time of the day and night. The windows were not soundproof. However, the room had a standing fan that helped a lot to get rid of the noise and keep us cool. Overall, we would stay there again.
The location is amazing, it's very reasonably priced and the building has charm pouring out of it. The rooms are fine (it's old) and the staff are lovely. I very much enjoyed staying here.
The view is UNBELIEVEABLE.
It was great! Location, friendliness, cleanness, and the mattresses were very comfortable.

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was good enough. Since the building is old. We went in December and at night the room gets cold. No heater available. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room was not in good condition , damaged
Floor face board separated from drywall,no A/C
Failing Internet connection.
The only acceptable part is the rooftop restaurant with an excellent view to the zocalo.
Mr. Sergio Dominguez at front desk gave me an attitude since our arrival. The rest of the staff was very friendly.
I will never come back again, there are more options nearby.
Kudos to the restaurant staff,Don Jose,Gildardo
and a few others.
Si reported an issue with the spigot in the bathtub it wasn’t fixed.
O
The hotel location is ideal, right on the Zocalo. It's an older hotel, rooms are dated, floors creak, etc. But it makes up for all of that by the excellent staff. The rooftop restaurant, and location.
This is a charming building built in the 1930's and has basic wear and tear. The rooms were clean. The staff overall was courteous. Bottled water is supplied in the rooms. The location of the hotel to the whole historic district was perfect. Being in the center of MX city you could not ask for more. Two things that were on-going - noise. The building structure and layout let interior building noise echo up throughout the building. I was on an inside room so hallway conversations, internal building maintenance, staff shift changes, etc. could be heard. If you are a light sleeper and if these things will impact your stay, look for another place. A friend had an outside room with a balcony, so she heard street sounds, including any celebrations or protest going on in the central square could be heard. However, it also provided some spectacular views for those events, including views and experiences of a military appreciation day activities.
Beautiful step back in time at the Majestic! Carlos is a wonderful source of knowledge and is so courteous!
Definitely take in the sights at the terrace for dinner under the lights
