We travelled from the U.K. to the property, which is located centrally and the property is close to the airport near Charleroi which made it easy to collect my parents from. Annick was a kind and courteous host who even provided a few goodies to get us started as we arrived late on a Sunday after most shops where closed. Rance itself is within walking distance but doesn't have much to offer. A car is pretty much essential to get around and explore the countryside.
