Fabio was so accommodating and his place was so clean and beautiful. He even parked our car for us at his lot and retrieved it for us when we left. Breakfast was amazing! There were so many options. I would stay here again! Garibaldi Street is awesome and the view of the ocean was amazing.

Great location in the old town part of Messina and walk ro all attractions/shopping/restaurants. The room is spacious with kitchen and additional beds. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. It is on a main street but very quiet since we stayed on the 4th floor with a balcony.

Parking is fairly difficult in the downtown area. I would use the pre paid park if I return. Great Location by good restaurants and sights.

The property is less than a 5 minute walk from the ferry and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. This was convenient for me because I needed it to be easy and quick. The room was spacious for me, with a beautiful balcony view that I enjoyed. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable as well. The wifi was very stable and allowed me to work for both days. The breakfast was light and perfect with the best cappuccinos! It may seem a little tucked away from everything, but you have to walk and explore as everything is within a 15-20 minute walk basically. The only issue I had was that some of the throw pillows on my bed had a scent of cologne that wouldn’t go away - I think some of the folks that work there have a strong scent that just sticks around in the area.

The R&B was very neat, clean, beautiful and safe. It had a balcony with a beautiful view of the city. There is a nice Japanese restaurant next to the R&B with a pleasant view of the port and the sea. The tram line connecting to the bus station and train station was just a couple minutes walk. Victoria, the in charge of the R&B was very sweet, helpful and hospitable. Breakfast decent with fresh pastries, bread, fruits, eggs, and juice/tea/coffee. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend.

Room was very good, overlooking the port. Clean, modern bathroom and very comfy bed. Breakfast fine, usual continental style of meats, cheeses croissants etc... Might find you walk right past the front door as I did, as it is located in a residential block. Also the check in finishes at 8pm so not as late as other hotels but that aside, would certainly use again if stopping in Messina.

Great place
In a great location for our arrival by ferry and departure by train. Very clean. Lovely friendly service. Felt at home with decor and furnishings which were modern and comfortable. Arrived earlier than planned but they were very accomodating. Breakfast was good.

Garibaldi Hotel Review
This is an excellent hotel in a nice old building with all the tourist sights close by. You can relax in the cooler central courtyard. The breakfast is good and cheap at only €5. My only criticism is that it has no parking and you must try and park on the busy streets close by which can be a challenge.

Great Stay
Fabio made the stay so excellent. He went out of his way to accommodate us. He welcomed us before the normal check-in, took us to the local train station and made sure we bought the correct train ticket. The breakfast was very good with eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, teas and pastries. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Just a quick one night stay that we wished had been longer. Beautiful city with some amazing buildings and attractions. The B&B was clean and comfortable and in great location. On street parking was easy and our hosts were great - welcoming and very helpful.Breakfast was good - great value for money.Would stay again.

Cute B & B on the water in Messina
We had a one night stay here between travelling from Taormina to Cefalu. The service by Fabio and his father, as well as the staff was wonderful and they let us check in early which was a great help. It is a kooky B & B on the third floor, in a traditional building,and the views from the rooms were exceptional. Both sea view and city were gorgeous. It was great watching the crazy drivers go by on the main drag from our little balcony. The room was large enough for our needs, however as a family of four i would choose a larger place for a longer stay. The breakfast comprised mainly of very tasty pastries, which my daughters appreciated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room nice and clean. The unusual shower took a little time to understand, but no real issue. Unfortunately when we left the lift was being serviced so we had to drag our suitcases down three stories, but Fabio was wonderful and was a great help. A lovely stay and lovely people.

Excellent Ownership and Staff Makes this a Steal!
This hotel was wonderful. It's a wonderful deal for what you get, but really...what makes this a great place to stay is the excellent owners and staff. The owner and his son are two great people and staying in this hotel just to meet them was worth it for me. The only negative thing I could possibly say is the hotel is small and cozy... if you prefer large hotels, it might not be a good fit for you.

Highly recommended hotel in stimulating environs
The owner was friendly and went out of his way to help us in choosing good restaurants and car hire. You need nerves of steel to drive in Sicily! However access to other parts of Sicily is well served by the autostrada but near Messina there are dozens of tunnels.

Garibaldi R&B
I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Garibaldi's bed and breakfast. Location is prime as it is only a 10 minute walk from the bus & railway train station. It is located on Via Garibaldi and there are many bars/restaurants nearby to go to for a nice meal and/or drinks. The Port of Messina is directly behind it. You have cathedrals and church's such as Piazza da Duomo in front as well as others. Shopping center is only a 5 minute walk. There is a money exchange place nearby. But depending on when you decide to go during the month they will/won't be able to exchange and perform transactions. They usually do it at the beginning of the month. I suggest you walk further up about 2 min walk and go to the Bank of Sicilia which is located at the corner. Fabio and his father take the time to help you out with points of interest to visit throughout the city. They are a great help when it comes to getting around Messina. Breakfast is at 0800hrs and it's a simple Sicilian breakfast composed of Juice, milk, cereal, toast, croissants with ham and cheese, sweet croissants filled with jam , yogurt, and coffee/cappuccino. Vittoria, the waitress, is sweet and very kind and knowledgeable. They all speak English and will understand you. If you're into seafood, ask Fabio and he will give you bus tickets to go to a nearby town called "Ganzirri" where there are many restaurants that serve fresh seafood. Overall, the stay was pleasant/ we were treated very well by Fabio and his staff.

Great location, nice and clean B&B
The location of the B&B is convenient, easy walk to the train station and really close to the Cathedral and Astronomical clock, good restaurants nearby. The B&B was clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Great place to stay for a night or two while passing by Messina.
