Merksplas and the surrounding area offer numerous opportunities for activities. The holiday park itself has playgrounds, an outdoor pool with a water slide and a fishing pond. There is a varied entertainment programme for the little ones during the school holidays. A trip to Turnhout with its shops and historic beguinage is worthwhile, as is a visit to Antwerp, where culture and history await you. The villages of Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog are also worth a visit, as they offer a unique experience of the meeting of Belgium and the Netherlands.
