Great value and location
Great location, easy walk to all of the Roman building and ruins. Hotel is very good value for its very reasonable prices. Good parking and WiFi. For EV drivers, charging is available across the street.

Very Good Value Hotel in a Wonderful Town
Very good value, comfortable, good breakfast [very busy with large tour groups]. Easy car parking at the hotel. Within reasonable walking distance of main tourist sites.

The reception team were very welcoming and the hotel was a short distance from the sights to visit. The meal at the restaurant in the evening was extremely good and very tasty. If we were ever in this area again would not hesitate to stay here again.

What an outstanding experience, typical in Spain. The cafeteria lady attendant is extremely efficient and friendly- made our day! I strongly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Rooms were large. Great parking. Safe neighborhood. Everything seemed a bit dated. Carpets were dirty. beds were small and uncomfortable. Air Conditioning did not work.

On the Road Again.
Wonderful location. Walked to all the main sites. City is clean and workers friendly. Bought the combination ticket and we were very happy. Phenomenal old stuff.

Convenient and beautifully clean and comfortable.
This was an overnight stay while traveling. The hotel was beautifully clean. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. 10 minute walk to the old town. We didn't eat at the hotel. Recommended.

Nice hotel with swimming pool and big relax area. Very nosily, has a car wash on other site and especial in the weekend, a lot of children party. Is not very clean, in situation of Covid-19 this is unforgivable, new glass with water looked like this.

The hotel is easy to access from the road system and has good parking facilities. Unfortunately, the pool was closed because of COVID: The pool was my reason for choosing the hotel, so it would have been good to know this in advance. My room smelled as though there had been a chain smoking taking place in there and the fridge didn't work.

Great hotel if visiting Merida. Or overnight stop
Overnight stop. Nice hotel good location easy walk into centre. Car parking next door 8 euros. Breakfast 10.80 euros was too pricey for this type of hotel. Everything else was good.

Very big room and a huge bathroom. The place was nice but feels like it needs an update. Breakfast for Spanish standards, I would expect much better. I would like proper coffee rather than just machine made coffee. The bread was also below expectations. There wasn't even tomate natural, it was only from a packet. The worst of all is that you are charged 8e per night for parking when it is outside the city and inside the hotel grounds. This is a joke.

The hotel is well located fro seeing the sites of Merida. The staff spoke little ENglish but they tried hard to communicate and between them and us, we did fine. THey are very pleasant and helpful. Very nice hotel.

A very pleasant stay near historical sites
The people area very friendly and the food is great. Rooms need to be upgraded to accommodate the people with plugs bedside so they can have the phone there while also according for C-PAP equipment that the people might need to sleep. Rusty fixtures in ceiling, tells it's time to redo.

Visit Merida for pleasant surprises
First impressions of this hotel and area were not wonderful but having spent two nights there it grew on us. We realised how easy to reach and park it was and then a pleasant short walk to to the amazing Roman sites within Merida. Merida is well worth a visit, though not as well known as Cordoba, Caceres or Seville. The hotel was welcoming but could do with a little upgrading in places. If returning to Merida, however, we would use the Velada again.

Hotel and staff were commendable. The only concerns were in the shower as it was poorly designed, which seems to be a European wide issue. Not to single out this hotel in particular as all hotels we experienced in the UK, Portugal and Spain this year, get rid of those Nestle coffee makers in your breakfast facilities. They make horrible coffee.

Velada hotel- unfortunately high parking changes
We stayed two nights at the Hotel Velada Merida in Spain. Mérida is a popular spot for visitors due to the presence of remarkable and well preserved Roman ruins in the city; which are all within walking distance of the hotel. Our room was clean and pleasant but the shower, which was situated in the bath, was quite difficult to get out of due to the fact that it was positioned at the rear of the bath by the slope - awkward. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food quality or service. We did feel rather aggrieved though with the car parking charges - €8 per night which seemed rather excessive. Given the location of the hotel I really don’t see why they should charge their guests anything at all, it just felt like greed.

Comfortable Hotel within walking distance of town and ruins.. Breakfast was expensive but set menu for dinner in restaurant was reasonable. We stayed two nights but were disappointed to find that the pool area was closed on the afternoon and evening of the second day because of a wedding party.

The hotel has a large centre stair case which permit every bit of noise to travel to all rooms. The rooms are average and the beds are good. The pool is outstanding and was open until 8pm. Did not eat at the hotel so no comment is made. Bathroom was good.

Noisy hotel
Hotel was good except for the opening and closing of the room doors, it can be very noisy when a guest on the same floor or one of the other floors decides to enter or exit there rooms. there is a main stair case that runs the middle of the hotel that allows the noise to carry. other than that great hotel.
