  • Lazy Bear Cabin will be the place you'll want to come back to again & again with your family & friends! Lots of open space to spread out & enjoy your stay in the mountains. Comfortably sleeps 9 with tons of games, outdoor amenities & just 3.5 miles to downtown Mentone! Downstairs offers a large open living room with wood burning fireplace, fully stocked kitchen with island as well as a dining area. Also downstairs, you’ll find two king bedrooms and two full baths. Upstairs, off the loft, is a Queen bedroom. The loft area is where all the fun is with foosball, ping pong, air hockey, jumbo games, + a full size bed with twin trundle. But it doesn’t stop there…outside you’ll fall in love with the wooded landscape surrounding Lazy Bear Cabin! Brand new hot tub to soak after a full day of hiking near by DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve or Couldland Canyon State Park! A charcoal grill to throw some burgers or steaks for dinner and a firepit for a s’mores dessert. Lots of porches to enjoy your meal outdoors, sip your favorite drink while listening to the sounds of nature and maybe catch a glimpse of our local deer and turkey!

    Guests will be required to complete a rental agreement, provide a valid photo ID, and submit a refundable damage deposit hold. This property welcomes up to 2 dogs with prior approval and applicable pet fee.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin! We loved it so much, we called to book an additional night. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, and the beds were really comfortable! Mentone is a sweet town! Quiet and relaxing!! We plan to be back for another visit!

We had a lovely stay with family at this awesome cabin! Lots of space to spread out and enjoy with our group. Very close to DeSoto Falls and Mentone, which we enjoyed visiting! We would definitely stay here again!

a very nice and quite cabin. Hot tub was great and firepit also. We roasted marshmellows every night and listed and music and had great sibling time. Close enough water falls and visit lots of eatry places. We also visited the Alabama museum which was very good.

Beautiful Getaway

This is a perfect family getaway. Great place to take your family and enjoy nature. The hot tub was a bonus, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the game room, and plenty of room outside to make a fire or eat outdoors. We hope to come again!

Great Family Friendly Cabin at Mentone

We loved the cabin. Spacious and roomy and had everything we needed. Great for kids. Our kids especially loved the upstairs game room (particularly air hockey and jenga), the hot tub, and firepit for late night smores. Quick drive to Desoto State park and Desota Falls for hiking, ziplining, etc. I would definitely recommend this cabin and we plan on coming back.

The Lazy Bear Cabin was an excellent spot for our family Thanksgiving vacation! We enjoyed a shopping trip to Chattanooga, a hike at Desoto State Park and viewing Desoto Falls. The cabin has lots of games, cookware and dishes. It is in a nice wooded, quiet location. Very peaceful!

Lazy Bear was truly awesome. The beds were comfy, the property was in a quiet location, the hot tub was relaxing, and everything was very clean. I definitely recommend staying here. If you decide to stay, go to The Hatter tea shop just down the road.

Perfect Escape

Beautiful cabin in extremely peaceful town - like going back in time. It was perfect. We were in area for Georgia high school state playoff events in Rome, GA. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, but what better time to sit in the hot tub to relax. One word of advice - for nice dinner make advance reservations at Elevation or Wildflower.

Great cabin!

The hot tub was easy to operate and had a cool setting for colored lights which was super fun. There’s a spot to have a picnic on the back porch with two comfy rocking chairs and there’s also an awesome firepit. We utilized both of these and had so much fun. The only issue we had was that some of the wood on one of the stairs was really soft and gave way when I stepped on it but that just happens sometimes when wood is exposed to the elements over time. Overall, really great cabin with tons of fun amenities :)

Wonderful Cabin

The Cabin was clean, spacious, and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The Owner and Custodian Crew left a signed Christmas Card, along with a plate and mug for Santa. Dog bowls were provided, as well as a bed! Centrally located for ease to get to both Fort Payne and Mentone. The surrounding area was quiet, with deer in the backyard everyday. You won’t regret booking this Cabin.

Perfect mountain cabin

We absolutely loved our Father’s Day weekend stay at this cabin. It was so comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. We were very impressed at how well stocked and all the amenities. Very thoughtfully laid out and accessible. Laundry area was nice. Loved the bathrooms and wood cabin details. We would definitely visit again! The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed all the game’s upstairs!!! Highly recommend!!! Owners were fast at responses!
