L’Amour Rock-one of a kind stay on the edge

L’Amour Rock is situated on the very edge of Lookout Mountain, just 5 miles from downtown Mentone. If tranquility, inspiration and amazing views is what you seek, you’ll find all of that and more! With floor to ceiling windows providing 180 degree views of the valley below, you’ll feel like you’re in the clouds.
The open kitchen provides everything you need including new refrigerator, stove and microwave. L’Amour Rock also has a dishwasher and Keurig coffee maker. Open living room offers aww inspiring views from the roomy sectional plus a flat screen smart TV with WiFI for your favorite streaming. The bedroom features a King bed with cozy linens and woodland views that’ll have you wanting to sleep-in just a little longer! L’Amour Rock also offers a dedicated office space that is perfect for work stays or a writers retreat. The huge cozy chair in the office is perfect for curling up with a good book or for an afternoon nap. We also have an easel if you’re inspired to paint during your stay!
Because of its close proximity to the brow’s edge, this property is not suitable for children.

This cabin is located in a rural, wooded environment. During certain times of the year, seasonal insects such as beetles and stink bugs are common in the area and may occasionally enter the cabin. These insects are harmless and are a normal part of staying in a natural setting. Preventative pest-control measures are in place; however, complete elimination is not possible in this environment.

Every moment at L'Amour Rock was comfortable and enjoyable. It was a magnificent time away from the hurry and stress of life. Peace and quiet!!

Honeymoon Heaven

A perfect place for a beautiful, private, peaceful honeymoon! The view is spectacular! Overlooking lush spring green trees, listening to the passing trains in the valley and feeling the breeze while swinging in the wooden swing below the cottage or sitting on the porch deck. View for miles!

It was a great place to chill out! Pretty ingenious layout and all the comforts you may need. Great little kitchen to cook in with everything I needed and even a coffee bar! But let's be serious - the deck and the views is why you should definitely book this spot! The grounds outside are also really nice, with other spots to sit and take in the sunrise or sunset. I felt super safe on my own.

Great place to stay!

A warm and quiet place and I can’t use more words to describe it. I experienced 3 different weather situations here. It’s amazing. Here was very clean and had a plenty enough spaces to make fun with pets. I also worked a little bit here. I love the office room section. Working in a wonderful view of the mountains. Stay was incredible with wonderland views and scenery!

The property was comfortable and inclusive of all amenities needed to make your stay enjoyable. It offered tremendous views of nature and the fall colors were spectacular. The location was outstanding, since it was conveniently located to everything in Mentone, as well as a short drive to Cloudland, Georgia and areas over that way. The booking agent, Holly was outstanding to deal with as we contacted her once upon arrival and she was quickly responsive, and we enjoyed the stay so much that we contacted her to add an additional night which she was able to do it.

Beautiful Get-A-Way

The scene was very peaceful and stay relaxing. The place is like a large studio with different sections; very roomy, lounging areas. The kitchen had all we needed to cook for our long weekend anniversary trip. The sunsets were beautiful and there are fairly near peaceful hikes. The country store we visited down the road has nice local items too. I certainly recommend to any couple trying to escape for while!

Winter Wonderland

Wonderful location to celebrate our 48th anniversary! Cabin was beautiful and everything was perfect. Views were gorgeous and accommodations were the best. Mattress and pillows were great 🤣😂 which is not always the case. Stairs were easy for a 71 and 73 year old to climb. Cold outside, cozy inside. We will definitely return.

Privacy with a View

We decided to ‘splurge’ on this particular weekend rental for the view and the privacy the lot provided from other cabins. The view did not disappoint! There isn’t much tree cover, so the swing below the deck was great for hanging outside during the day. We enjoyed the wall-sized windows throughout, especially while cooking. The space was well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. We’d stay here or at another Delightful Retreats property again!
