We had the most wonderful Time it was beautiful the The dock to the water was great for fishing had it been warmer there were canoe and kayak to of enjoyed the most spectacular view from most anywhere in the home i live less than 30 minutes away but come to this area often its a million miles from home but only a 20 minute trip i wouldnt want to be any where else

Cabin was great. My grandson did a little fishing from the dock. Pictures on the listing shows 2 different kitchen areas so was a little misleading. Be careful following your GPS or you will bypass the driveway, especially if you arrive after dark.

Family Trip
Great house! We had a large group of all different ages and interests. There was plenty of room and lots of fun things to do. We caught some fish on the first day at the dock. Hiked the trail from the house to the dam. Played all the games and enjoyed the hot tub. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing time in the woods. Cell service was non existent for ATT but Verizon worked fine.

Perfect Getaway!
We had a fabulous time hiking to the dam nearby. Fishing and kayaking! Views were beautiful! Really great location right down the road from Desoto State Park and Mentone. Menlo, GA is close enough for any groceries you can't get at Mentone Market. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

A Relaxing Weekend
This stay did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed the views and scenery. The deck and the dock were our favorite places to hang out, especially the hot tub. We utilized the grills and kitchen to their fullest extent and loved it. Plenty of room and plenty of memories. The golf at Lil’mole Run was great, too. Awesome place.

We really enjoyed the stay. First floor is the best second floor is next but overall the water really looks good. Didn’t have any luck on catch no fish lol. The stairs are so nice if you like walking. Plenty of room for a family. The place was really clean and neat. If you don’t want to drive I suggest you take food with you.

We stayed at this property in August 2023 and absolutely loved it. Beautiful property with beautiful views. We have stayed in mountain towns before so we know it is a little bit of a drive to more commodities, and that is what we love! Being secluded but a little drive away you can get to things you want to see and do (just remember to Google map things ahead of time and Factor in central versus Eastern time zones). Property manager has been extremely transparent and was very responsive to all communication - which is very helpful. Overall we would highly recommend this home to others. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great family time in beautiful surroundings
Our party included my husband and our daughter with husband and three girls, ages 11 to 16. The property is beautiful with stunning views. The kitchen is well furnished so we cooked several wonderful meals there. Also enjoyed meals at Elevation Bistro and The Hatter. Family made good use of the hot tub and fished and swam from the floating dock daily. The owner communicated promptly to a couple of questions. Do heed the advice on life jackets, especially if using the canoe, which can easily turn over.

Beautiful home! Quiet place on the lake. Was great for first time kayakers...smooth calm waters. Life jackets a must - no shallow water. Swim right off the dock. House was beautiful and had everything we needed for a family of 5.

Great view
Nice property, but not kid friendly for toddlers. Too many steps outside to get to ground level and dock. No powder room on main level for others not using master bath. Only bathtub is in master bath. Great for adults and great location for parks and hiking.

We have 3 decks in the back of the house that result in amazing views but unfortunately the cost is some steps! We often have families with kids throughout the summer who return year after year!

We were there because of a business conference and had our area participants. This was a much nicer stay than a local hotel. Very pleased with our stay. Only complaint was GPS was not accurate. Therefore had to depend on visual to find house. No address on house or mailbox that was easily seen. There was description of color but would have been hard to see at night.

The perfect getaway!
We had a wonderful stay! The views of the water are incredible, the hot tub was phenomenal, clean and relaxing. The cabin itself is beautiful and very clean. The town is very calm, beautiful and small and everyone around is so friendly and welcoming! It is the perfect spot for a peaceful get away from every day life or a family trip. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful lakeside retreat
Stayed the weekend with some friends. The place is wonderful; clean, roomy, and a huge deck. Walked out to the dam, definitely worth the short walk. Relaxed on the deck, grilled some burgers. Spent the evening looking at the moon and soaking in the hot tub. No issues, everything was as listed. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

This property is stunning. House was immaculate. The views, out of this world. Communication with property owner was wonderful. We had an issue with extreme over chlorination in the hot tub and we messaged the owner, they sent someone out first thing in the morning to drain and refill the hot tub. He also refunded one night stay which was very kind. Only negative is the lack of outdoor furniture. There is 3 levels of decks and a dock and one table with 4 chairs on lower level. This house was rented for the view. There was no where to sit on upper level or bottom. And owner did not want furniture moved.

Thanks for the review. We had an issue with the chlorine dispenser, the hottub is dumped and cycle cleaned after each guest. This issue has been resolved. The decks were just resurfaced and painted, unfortunately the chairs did not make it back to the upper decks, thanks for letting me know, I will remedy that.

The location of this property was perfect, right on the water, with magnificent views from each of the decks, as well as from the home. We were able to spend time enjoying the water, swimming to the broken dam, and kayaking. The property had ample space for our growing family.

This was our first 2 family vacation party of 8! We all had a blast at this slice if heaven. The property was clean inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dinner lunch and breakfast we did not go out to eat. The lake was so nice! Cold springs throughout. Jumping off the dam was extremely fun and easy to get to from the lake or from the driveway. Nice seclusion. We could not have had a greater stay.

Great Place on Lake Lahusage
The house was beautiful, the view from the back of the home is one of the nicest properties on the river / lake. We had a great couple of weeks and enjoyed our time immensely. The notes below are just notes, we gave the house a 5-star review. For future guests, pay attention to the owners communications as there are very detailed instructions that can make for some costly challenges if you miss them. We had to buy some extra towels, wash cloths, and beach towels especially for water activities, there's roughly just enough for a day's usage. There was no iron or ironing board in the house so we had to grab an iron from a family member. The amount of glassware was limited so bring disposable cups if you need more. The ice maker does not dispense, but it makes plenty of ice. We ran the dishwasher and washer/dryer often to have enough towels and dishes but that's because we "lived" in the house (ate meals, showered, worked) for a couple of weeks. Be careful if you dine at the dining table, the chairs are pretty rickety and one is about to collapse. The upstairs bedrooms are fairly basic, they server their purpose, the bunk room was not really large enough for our older kids so one of them decided to just sleep on the couch. The house is right next to the broken dam, which is a local area swimming attraction, it can be dangerous to climb and jump off of if you're not careful. As the owner recommends, water shoes would be smart. Be careful in the black wooden rocking chair on the back deck, it's got a really deep lean and it's close to windows, an unsuspecting initial sit in that chair could take out a window. For the outdoors, the provided canoe needs a little work as the centerline was broken when we arrived. The provided kayak was very, very comfortable. We didn't use the two floats as they were not fully inflated. The homes' dock is a great feature, but I will say to be very careful with bringing boats down to the dock as it is extremely steep and can be dangerous if you are not cautious. The hot tub was a great feature although the water hose near the hot tub was not working so we couldn't top it off. The grill is charcoal and cooks great, so you'll want to buy some when you get groceries. The house is an absolute gem in it's current state, we look forward to seeing the basement floor finished as the house could be an absolute luxury home once everything is completely buttoned up.

Great Getaway
Perfect family getaway spot! We are definitely planning a return retreat. Very peaceful, right next to the dam, perfect for your morning cup of coffee. We caught some fish and hiked, DeSoto Falls is only 15 minutes away. Highly recommend!

Amazing House with an amazing view
The online pics do not do this house justice. It is more beautiful and spacious than they show. The decks and the view was incredible. The spacious hot tub was a big highlight for everyone. Had plenty of outside seating to watch shooting stars with no light pollution. House was so clean and very well supplied. I appreciated the special touches with hand soap and room spray in the bathrooms. Bed were all comfortable. We had a full traditional Thanksgiving meal and there was plenty of room in the kitchen to cook. It was the perfect meeting place for our children coming from Nashville. We will definitely come back here as soon as we can.
