What a place to unwind and relax! From the comfortable inside setting to the gorgeous views from the back deck it really met our needs for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and overall relaxation. And the views are absolutely spectacular!

Best views and house
This is our annual hiking trip with friends . This year we brought the kids with us (teens) so we needed a larger space for them. This house was perfect and had the best view. Each morning we were greeted with bunnies out back. The kids loved the hot tub and the kitchen was well stocked with everything to be able to actual cook. Huge bonus to us as we like to cook. Super easy check in and out.

Beautiful, cozy cabin in Mentone, Ala
Our host was excellent! She had lights and soft music playing as we entered the home! She had a fully stock coffee bar for us and we enjoyed coffee every morning on the front porch swing. Evenings we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit while watching the gorgeous sunsets and the spectacular view!! We will definitely come back!

Awesome location
My family not only loved the unbelievable views from this cabin with the gorgeous mornings and spectacular sunsets, but we truly enjoyed the beautiful cabin & it’s amenities as well. From the wonderfully prepared welcome to the easy checkout process. A great time was had by all in the area visiting historical venues, parks and simply nature, as well as the small shops and eateries of small towns nearby. Everyone in the family commented how they wished they could stay longer. Thank you for the memories and I highly recommend this “Breathless” getaway in the clouds.

Absolutely Beautiful!
An absolutely beautiful house for a relaxing and peaceful escape. The pictures just cannot do the place justice. Stocked with everything we needed, and more; I wished I hadn't stressed so with packing! The porch is amazing, and the view is picturesque. Despite 90-degree July weather, the breeze and afternoon showers made evenings in the hot tub possible. I hope we can return in the future.

Great Getaway Cabin in Mentone
My family had a wonderful, memorable stay at Breathless. The cabin was just as described, spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. We felt at home right away and thoroughly enjoyed the back deck with the hot tub and the Amish chairs. The view from the brow of the mountain was incredible. We even were able to watch fireworks off in the distance. So comfortable and enjoyable in every way. Our host provided clear communication, and check-in and check-out was so easy. We all agreed that we would like to return to Breathless in the fall.

The view is breathtaking
We enjoyed our stay at Breathless for Father’s Day weekend before we dropped one of our daughters off to camp Skyline. This was our first time staying in Mentone but it definitely will not be the last! The view was just breathtaking. We spent lots of time on the porch taking in the view, listening to music and enjoying the hot tub! The house was very clean and check in/out was a breeze. The little town of Mentone was only a short 5 minutes away. It was the perfect house for our stay! Already looking to book again next year!!

Perfect weekend getaway!
The panoramic views and serenity of the location were just what we needed for a rejuvenating weekend. The cabin was very well equipped with everything that we needed. And it was very centrally located to the state parks where we hiked both days. Mentone is a sleepy little mountain town, so be sure to come stocked with food and drinks as places to purchase these items are limited. We will definitely return to this cabin if our travels take us in that direction.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We have been trying to purchase a new grill, but they are not in stock locally for the spring season yet. This grill will be replaced soon but does work fine, as we use it ourselves and have no issues. We take pride in the cleanliness of our cabin and have only had 5 star reviews over the past two years until this review was submitted. It is high pollen season and when doors are left open dust can collect. We hope you will consider staying with us again!

Amazing Peaceful Refuge
We were looking for a retreat from frozen pipes and illness related stress. We got so much more! I love that our Standard Poodle was welcome, so we didn't have the added expense of boarding. The kitchen was stocked over and above the basics. They had coffee and little extras like spices that I normally have to bring or pick up. This place is loved and it wasn't hard to see the thoughtful touches and even well-placed simple things like fresh laundered fuzzy blankets and kitchen items such as zip lock bags and mixing bowls. I've never been able to bake a cake in any rental I've been in before. Every aspect of our visit was beyond expectations. We may be local, but I don't doubt that we will be back again and again!

Breathless is truly breathless
Breathless was amazing! The cabin is so quaint and cozy and met all of our expectations! The owners were very responsive and even came by to check on the hot tub when we called with a question about it. Fun and Fabulous Girls’ Trip Enhanced by an Extraordinarily home and location
This home overlooking the brow in Mentone exceeded all our expectations! Not only does the view take your breath away from the moment you drive up, the home itself is beautiful - pristine, comfortable, nice furnishings, fully stocked (they thought of everything), plenty of towels, kitchenware, and lovely bedrooms/bathrooms. We enjoyed time around the fire pit and the backporch (which is where you should spend every moment you can) is fantastic! View the breathtaking sunsets from the "breakfast bar", rockers or hot tub - take your pick. This place just exudes relaxation. We also loved the location and being just a quick, short drive to downtown Mentone, the beautiful gardens of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, the farmer's Market and the DeSoto Hiking Trails. We have told everyone we can about this place and each one of us is looking forward to returning. This is a true 5 out of 5 stars place. We will be back! Thank you, Laura for the time and effort you've obviously put in to making this a charming, unforgettable home.

Wonderful Getaway
The cabin decor is absolutely beautiful as well as tastefully done. The deck views are absolutely amazing and breath taking. It's so very quiet and serene day and night. We only used the downstairs but the bed is very comfortable. The coffee bar is very well stocked. The kitchen has all the spices, oils, seasonings you can imagine. Plentiful pots and pans, plates to prepare meals and serve meals. If you tire of eating at the lovely bar outside gazing at the view theres a beautiful dining room inside to enjoy. We've stayed in Mentone before this is by far the best place we've stayed.

I rented this cabin to celebrate my husbands 40th - and it was perfect. Quiet, peaceful location with an amazing view.
