The Space:
Magic Mena Rainforest Retreat by Tiny Away, just 110 km south of Cairns, is an eco-friendly tiny house escape for couples in the heart of North Queensland’s rainforest. Accessible by both 2WD and AWD vehicles, the retreat is reserved for one couple at a time, ensuring total privacy.

Enjoy 2.5 acres of tropical paradise with free seasonal organic fruit. Mission Beach is a peaceful beachside escape surrounded by rainforest and is the closest mainland point to the Great Barrier Reef.

While you're there, Cassowary Coast along Tropical North Queensland’s shoreline is perfect for relaxing holiday homes in nature. This 139-square-foot tiny home offers pure rainwater for showers, split air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchenette, a small fridge, cooking essentials, and bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

Guest Access:
Guests can access our tiny home, gym, and pool, but not the land host's private residence and other neighbouring properties.

Exclusive Services include private yoga sessions, massages, sound healing with crystal singing bowls, personal fitness training at our gym, and naturopathy consultations focusing on weight management and detoxification. If you're interested, please let us know 24 hrs in advance.

Magic Mena Rainforest Retreat by Tiny Away sits in the rural locality of Mena Creek, just 20 minutes from Innisfail Township-Cassowary Coast Region. The tiny house is close to supermarkets, local shops, cafes, and medical services.

Explore nearby natural wonders like Wooroonooran National Park with its waterfalls and the Mamu Tropical Skywalk.
Visit Paronella Park’s Spanish-style castle and gardens, and see the blue waters of Cardwell Spa Pool. Drive through the Atherton Tablelands and visit the famous Curtain Fig Tree. Cool off in Lake Eacham or relax at Malanda Falls.

Love the beach? Don’t miss Mission Beach for a calm, tropical vibe. Etty Bay is great for a quiet day out. Kurrimine Beach is where you’ll see turtles or manta rays. And for a bit of action, Caves Beach is perfect for surfing and spearfishing.

Getting Around:
By car:

- From Cairns is 90 mins by car, 113 kms,
- Local town Innisfail is 27 mins by car, 27 kms. All reachable by 2WD an 4WD vehicles.

Other Things to Note:
- CHECK-IN IS BETWEEN 2PM AND 7PM. NO CHECK-IN AFTER 7PM WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
- On arrival, enjoy a light snack or breakfast: wholemeal bread (toaster provided), dairy-free spread, peanut butter, Vegemite, jam, rice crackers, seasonal fruit, tea, drinking chocolate, Caro, dairy-free milk, organic oats, seed mix, raw and coconut sugar, and fresh rainwater.

- No smoking allowed on the property

- Fire pit is not available during wet days
- No unregistered visitors or guests allowed
- Late checkouts are subject to availability
- Telstra has good mobile reception while others have weak signal
- Free WIFI but reception may be limited due to your gadget or weather
- We have a reliable power supply during outages—feel free to charge all your devices.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Strictly no pets, and children below 18 allowed on the property. If you arrive with them, you will be refused entry.
- We will notify you by text of any flood alerts in the area during your stay and may instruct you to leave the property for your own safety.

Perfect hideaway nestled in the rainforrest

If you’re looking to check-out of the city life and spend time in the serenity of the tropical forest then this is the perfect place. Jean and Lorelei are the perfect hosts, such lovely people! They provided us with fresh fruit which was lovely, and their vegan protein shakes should be an Instagram sensation! Stay here! It will change your life, if you choose it to.
