Beautiful Guest Suite with Private Deck Overlooking Forest and Waterfall

  • This newly remodeled, modern guest suite is nestled in the Tolman Creek canyon and surrounded by a beautiful madrone, pine, fir, and oak forest. The 450 sq ft suite features a private entrance, large deck, and secluded lawn with Japanese maples. Inside is a dining area with a canyon view, sitting area with high-speed internet, 60" flat screen TV streaming Netflix, Amazon, and Acorn, fully stocked kitchenette and bath, and a comfortable king bed. Located on a quiet paved road in the foothills 10 minutes drive from downtown Ashland. Wake up to hummingbirds at the feeder and deer passing through the yard.

    (Please be aware there are two curved flights of concrete steps (17 and 10 steps) from your parking spot down to the suite. They are in good repair and there is a handrail. If you have concerns about this, you may use one of our parking spaces and avoid the upper stairs. Just ask!)

Very quiet and peaceful location. The suite itself is very clean, comfortable and has everything that you need. I enjoyed seeing deer wandering through the back garden. I also appreciated Carl’s tips on options for restaurants, hiking, and parking downtown when seeing the OSF shows. Would definitely stay there again.

An enchanting, amazing place. Like being in a nature reserve, with so many birds and stunning views of lush habitat and a creek. Loved the lower deck, where we enjoyed the sights and sounds of beautiful birds. The suite is so comfortable and so many fine details, like dimmers, robes, nice soaps, super comfortable bed and sofa, huge window with amazing view, huge tv, wonderful towels and bedding. Kitchen is very well stocked and lovely dishes. Everything is there to be able to make up your own dinner and stayed tucked away for a night. Games, clear house instructions, menus, and recommendations to things to do. Nice electric fireplace for frosty mornings, and lovely art. We will be back.

Great spot for relaxation

You can't beat the canyon and creek views, it is a quiet and relaxing spot to stay, watch birds and wildlife. The host was very helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay at this property! The location was just perfect to enjoy the Fall season! The property is very well appointed with little thoughtful touches and the location to town is great! Ashland Experience

Great stay here at this scrupulously clean, well-organized, and lovely spot. Only a few minutes from downtown, this place in the woods was beautiful and one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed in.

The lawn, the porch, and the deck were perfect for being outside as the temps changed throughout the day. The flat was comfortable and the hosts gracious.

Beautiful property

The location was very easy to find and absolutely beautiful. Its a perfect place to stay for two, nice and cozy. The view from the window and porch look out over a creek with an abundance of wildlife moving about on the hillside. Downtown Ashland is very close as well, with many trailheads within a 20 minute drive. We will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a great place to stay while visiting family in Ashland. The location was perfect, peaceful and beautiful! The bed was very comfortable with lots of comfy pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed that some items were already there such as coffee! It was very clean, organized and well thought out. We had everything we needed! We really enjoyed the fireplace on the chilly mornings! We will stay here again and can highly recommend this place!

I canning say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. The gardens were amazing, and waking up to the sound of the trickling waterfalls could not be beat. The couple who lives on the property is amazingly communicative, but it was also a very private experience. Grocery is not far mad dining is easily accessible.

A valley all your own

A wonderful blend of indoor & outdoor: the apartment is excellent - very comfortable and well appointed & the environment is so refreshing - from the outside deck to the hammock to the overlook deck, it was all better than I had hoped. Communication with owners was easy & prompt Very much looking forward to returning.

Beautiful little space, gorgeous environment

From the moment walked in until the time we left, the space was wonderful. Gorgeous setting. Close to town. Everything we needed. Very comfortable bed. Only thing I would make guests aware of is this space is below the owners home. So if you are sensitive to movement and some noise above you, it may not be for you.

Lovely return

We returned for another stay at this Ashland oasis. Everything was just as we remembered. Clean and comfortable in a lovely setting. The added safety rails down to the suite were welcomed—especially in the rain. The fall weather brought out the most amazing colors on the garden trees. Once again, it was a delight to be away from the busy downtown area.

Hummingbird Heaven

This quiet retreat in the hills overlooking Ashland provided the respite we needed while caring for a family member. The studio set up is perfect for a couple looking for a comfortable get away. The bed is so comfy and everything is very thoughtfully arranged. We loved drinking our morning coffee while watching the antics of hummingbirds just outside the window. The hosts have anticipated every need with many thoughtful amenities and a well stocked kitchen.
