Awesome place to getaway

The cabin was beautiful, quiet and clean. The only issue we had was the water in the shower, it was either scalding hot or had no water pressure. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway ! Less than 1 mile.

Peaceful

we booked for peace and quiet and fishing! Cute cabin and beautiful pond..terrible weather one day was a disappointment but not as disappointing as the lack of fish in the beautiful pond😕 we loved being able to sit on the porch and get to the pond in just a few steps...that was really cool...maybe restock the pond for the people who book for the fishing👍 while they are relaxing!

Quaint and quiet

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This adorable cabin was the perfect place to unplug and unwind from our hectic life. The owners thoughtfully stocked the kitchen for a light breakfast. The cabin was inviting, clean and well prepared for guests. Our only complaint was the full size bed and mattress. We prefer a queen. The mattress sank toward the middle. If you want a quiet getaway this is your place!

My husband and I spent the weekend here to get away for our anniversary as well as celebrate his birthday. The cabin was very nice! You can tell it's very old, yet, had some nice modern upgrades. The location was so peaceful and beautiful. I recommend this cabin to anyone who needs some peace and quiet.

House was as described and very clean and neat. We even found milk, orange juice and apple juice in the refrigerator when we arrived which was a big help. The owners were very gracious and welcoming. Plan to return. Perfect for an Anniversary trip or wine trail getaway.

Very nice stay!

Just what we needed for a quick get away from Charlotte. The home was comfy and everything we needed was available. I wasn't sure if we were allowed to use the pond. We should have asked because it was a hot summer day. I was a bit disappointed in the large garage that was visible from the back deck. I wished I could have changed the direction of the rear bench swing to view the Blue Ridge better. Over all, great stay and lovely owners.

Good things come in small packages!

The bungalow was the perfect retreat for my friend and I as we ventured to Floyd, VA for a small music gathering. The owners truly have thought of everything and yet somehow kept it simple. The front and back porches were amazing for relaxing, complete with porch swings and a picnic table for outdoor dining. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking small meals and all of the basics were there for utensils and cooking tools. The Wi-Fi worked great (which was helpful since we didn't get much cell signal - ok on Verizon, non-existent on AT&T). We had great access to the blue ridge parkway and the recommendation to visit nearby Mabry Mills was wonderful! We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. The site was so peaceful and quiet. We didn't want to leave!

Perfect for two.

House was clean ,well stocked and perfect for a weekend getaway. Blue ridge drive is great. Floyd was a scenic drive. Great time to visit the area, no one in sight.

Cozy clean cabin with all necessary amenities

Hog mountain retreat is a cozy cabin overlooking a lake in the mountains. It is clean and had good quality and all necessary amenities such as nice bath towels, coffee/creamer, juice/milk and cereal. Nice outdoor seating with double porch swings in front and back porch. Property Owner and property manager both were pleasurable to interact with. We’ll stay again and have already shared this gem with others

A Trip to Remember

My stay was over a year ago. Not sure why I didn’t leave a review afterwards. Our weekend girls trip was perfect here! The cabin was just the right size, clean and comfortable. It was in a great central location to the things on our checklist. We loved sitting on the front porch watching a storm roll across the mountain tops. I hope to come back for a trip with my husband. I would definitely recommend this owner/rental.

Amazing experience, super helpful owners.

Clean, quiet, and extremely cozy little cabin that was perfect for my partner and I to get a weekend away and unplug. Owners were immediately accessible when I ran into an issue (that I caused), and helped to rectify it right away. Overall, a perfect experience. I will be keeping this one on my favorites!

Beautiful location

The cabin was excellent! Our only advice is for the owner to give directions from both ends of 799! We had gotten off the pkway & ate at Floyd, then came thru Willis so we were confused & stopped several times to ask people where Hog Mtn Rd was! Wasted quite awhile b4 realizing it must be at the other end of 799! Cld not get thru to owner due to no coverage! Maybe other people wldn’t be this confused.
