"Loved the room and the staff were very respectful and nice. Room was spacious- booked 2 queen bed room. And we four stayed comfortably. Stayed 3 nights. Breakfast- more healthy breakfast- had eggs, bread, bagels, fruit and related items but no sausage- I love sausage and missed it- but I was ok. Had lots of great restaurants nearby In fact a Korean buffet place was there - I was told we had to do some cooking for it - so didn’t have time to go there."

"Location is good for a night's stay. I wouldn't stay much longer. We booked through Hotels.com and reserved a first floor room. We were assigned a second floor room when we arrived. There was no staff on site to speak to about the discrepancy. We were tired and it was the last night of a long trip, so we didn't call the number provided for any questions, so that's kind of on us. The grounds itself was nice enough, the building clean and pretty well maintained. There is no elevator, be aware of that. The room was small, but sufficient for a night. Full sized refrigerator, small cooktop, microwave. The room was clean, although housekeeping overlooked a small amount of food left in the refrigerator by the previous guests. No big deal, but........ The balcony on our second floor room had a broken section on the railing going around it, so we didn't spend much time out on the balcony. Overall, I'd give the place about a 6.5. Good for a quick night, but not much more."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Premier NYC Gateway Hotel! The room was exceptionally spacious, clean, and very comfortable—much larger than we expected for the New York area. The hotel also offers convenient onsite parking, which made our trip completely stress-free. Its location is excellent, with easy access to Times Square and many of New York City’s major attractions, making sightseeing quick and convenient. The staff was friendly, the hotel was well maintained, and overall it offered great value for the price. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City!"

"The place felt very dated and worn. For me, when choosing a place to stay, cleanliness trumps everything else. While we didn't experience getting bed bugs or anything, it felt like we could have. It just felt scuzzy. Very few amenities. The outdoor pool which was supposed to be open, was not. This was June 11th and 12th; it should have been open and was advertised as it was. We booked a room for 5 people, there were only enough towels and washcloths for 3. I mean, how hard is it to properly prepare for the correct number of guests? The lady at the front desk gave us additional towels and washcloths, but we shouldn't have had to go get them ourselves. We had stayed here several years ago and don't recall any issues back then, so the decline must be recent. It is certainly a place to rest your head and get a shower, but we won't choose to stay here again."
