Lovely stay close to Shenandoah NP

Had a great spring break with family in a quiet neighborhood. The house was great for family meals and relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking in Shenandoah or enjoying the activities around the Massanutten resort.

Enjoyed the location, spaciousness, and amenities close by. House is comfortable and great for families. There are 2 stairs, if you are traveling with toddlers. A hot outdoor jacuzzi and fire pit made it really fun.

Great stay at Massanutten

Wonderful time celebrating our son’s 30th birthday. The home was beautiful and clean. We grilled, used the hot tub and had a fun time enjoying the local area hiking trails. Thank you for letting us stay.

It was a home away from home

Plenty of space for the 5 of us. My husband and i loved that the master suite was upstairs away from everyone. Gave us some nice privacy. The hot tub was amazing! Would stay there again!

Last Minute Spring Break

This was a last minute Spring Break trip to get away and try something new. The house was so big and so accommodating three adults, 4 kids and a big dog and we all had plenty of space inside and out. The hot tub was perfect addition to the end of a day of hiking trails! We wished our trip was longer and will keep this house on our favorites list.

Relaxing getaway

Our families enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Great host communication. A short drive to lots of things. The hot tub was a nice option for the very cold nights and the long dining table was great for games nights. We visited the waterpark and some local restaurants and did some hiking in the snow.

Spacious and extremely convenient location!

I have stayed at several properties in the McGaheysville/Massanutten area and this is easily the best location. Location is right next to the entrance to Highway (but far away enough to not hear noises from the Highway) and is very accessible. Other properties i've stay at have been very far back into the mountain or have had inaccessible driveways that prove inconvenient. So this place gets 5/5 from me.

Brief but awesome stay

Great house with plenty of space for family gathering. Gorgeous view of the woods from the huge deck or hot tub. Lovely location and wish we were staying longer. Owners were very helpful and communicative. Appreciate everything there!

The drive to the property was gorgeous. Grocery was close by and easily accessible. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and the views are spectacular! I wish we had, had more time to stay and explore.

Shenandoah Trip

Great stay!

We recently stayed here with our family of 5 and 2 small dogs to go snowboarding/tubing at Massanutten. The house was very nice and close proximity to Massanutten. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after a day of boarding. Decorated very cute and cozy. My only recommendation would be is that if you are traveling with little kids to bring a baby gate as the steps going to the lower level are right by the front door. The owners communicated very well and made sure we had all the information needed to make our stay great. Would stay here again.

Perfect!

Michael was an excellent host! The checking process was seamless, his communication was great. The house exceeded my expectations- it is extremely clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and pots/ pans. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was the cherry on top! 10/10 would stay here again!

Nice family getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Convenient to many activities. Property was as advertised. Owner responsive with questions. Few suggestions:: master shower head not moveable, so challenging for short people. Kitchen needs a few items:: pizza cutter, salad plates(we like small plates for the kids). Overall, very pleased and would stay here again.

80th birthday with family

A wonderful home to share. Everyone was able to relax, have fun, and catch up with each other. Our trip to the Lavender Farm was such a nice visit. Don't miss it. As elderly folks, the steps were a bit of a chore. Make sure you can handle steps!

Great Family Vacation with 7

We found the home to be super-nice and well equipped. The location is 2 hours 15 minutes from DC sites, a little over an hour from Manassas Battlefield and only 15 minutes from entry to Shenandoah National Park. While at the home, we used the hot tub, foosball table, kitchen, gas grill, and laundry facilities. No issues other than a propane tank that went empty just as our dinner finished grilling. The home includes a large 2 car garage which was super-handy to park our small cargo trailer in during our visit. Highly recommend!

Spacious home, quiet neighborhood, great location!

We enjoyed a weekend in this sweet retreat with our three boys (ages 10-16). Excellent communication with the host from booking through check-out made the whole process seamless. The house is tucked in a quiet mountain neighborhood close to all that Massanutten has to offer, and Harrisonburg is a short (15-ish minutes) drive away. The driveway is a steep decline down to the garage and house. It did not present any issues for us, but I'd imagine things could get interesting if there was ice/snow cover, so just something to be aware of if staying during wintery weather. As other guests mentioned, the bedrooms are split between the bottom and top level, with living area and kitchen on the middle/main level. There are a lot of stairs. Not an issue for our family of runners, but would have been a deal breaker if we'd brought my elderly dad along. Tons of space to spread out, well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens. Foosball and hot tub were a hit with all when we had some down time!
