This is an outstanding property for hosting a large group. It appeals to adults and children. The kitchen is especially well stocked with quality cookware which isn't all that common in rentals. Would book this again.

Great place for a family stay

Came here for my daughter's JMU graduation. We had a few families staying. Place was so much fun because there are so many spaces for people to separate/gather.. the game room, the theater, main room, front porch, back porch.... Loved it and wish I'd found this house long before graduation! Will definitely look here first next time I'm near Massanutten.

Awesome place with a ton of extras - my friends and I did our fantasy football draft weekend here and we couldn’t be more happy with how it went! Movie theater and game room were top notch and we loved that there were golf courses close! Would stay again!

Outstanding Stay!

The Retreat was the perfect place for our large group (4 families with elementary school kids). Plenty of space, a lot to do with the hot tub, heated game room in the garage and movie theater, and really close to the slopes. Dan was a great host as well!

We had an amazing weekend stay at this beautiful home! From before we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, polite, and easy to communicate with. They made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The house itself was perfect – spacious, spotless, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need (and more!). It felt like a true home away from home. We can't wait to come back! Family Fun

This property is so much fun! We stayed and had 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 5-12). The theater room, game room and hot tube were perfect to keep everyone entertained and enjoying themselves. The location was very close to the Massenutten Adventure Park where we went snowtubing. The owner was delightful to work with! He communicated clearly and in a timely manner regarding check in and check out. Would definitely stay again!

Great Place for Large Families to Gather at the Holidays!

we had multiple families coming from different locations to celebrate an early Christmas and this was a great place. It is how it is presented - a little dated, but still having all of the amenities that were advertised and we wanted! Dan is great with any issues we had - just needing to know where something was, and responded very quickly via text. Everything in the house is properly labeled and much appreciated! The movie theatre and game room are added touches that made our family experience even better!

There were 14 of us that stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. We had 4 younger children from ages 4-11 and the rest were adults. This place has everything any group could possibly need to have a great time. The movie theater room was phenomenal. The entire family had a movie night and the kids were so excited to have us all together.Next the game room has awesome games for the whole family and the outdoor hot tub was also a huge hit for a relaxing time. In addition to the house the resort has so much to offer, although it was hard to want to leave the house with all that it had to offer. We would highly recommend it as a fun place to stay!

Ladies Weekend

Great place for our ladies weekend. The house had everything you could need and more. We were a group of friends staying for a long weekend and loved the house. The owner was extremely helpful and reached out directly as soon as I booked. Then he checked in again before our trip with helpful information and tips. We appreciated all the amenities on site and how well stocked it was. I’ve stayed in lots of rentals and loved that we didn’t need to remember towels or soap or trash bags or anything like that. They even provided coffee filters and there was an extra mini fridge in dining room. We shared so many laughs around the oversized gorgeous table. This would be a great house for friends, couples, extended families, or anyone. Lots of space to spread out and activities to keep everyone occupied without ever needing to leave the house. We’re already planning a return trip!

Perfect Ski Trip!

Dan was amazing - we had about 11 inches of snow/ice the week of our trip and Dan came to the rescue himself to ensure the driveway was cleared and ready for us. The garage turned game room was the best addition to our trip, we spent nearly the entire trip in there! The house was well stocked and incredibly clean. Truly had everything we needed and I would absolutely go back!
