"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. "It looked like it was decorated in the 1990s and probably looked fantastic back then. It was dated and shabby. There was a feel of a horror film when we arrived. However, the breakfast was tasty. Staff were really helpful although for such a large place they had few staff. It was a bit lifeless with the bar not being open, we had to have a hot drink in our room. Unfortunately, the rooms were like saunas even with opening windows. Everything was clean but a bit run down. I think the price was reasonable for the experience and location. I would book again. Cheap and cheerful."
