Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Mayeres?
The best time to visit Mayeres depends on whether you're seeking winter sports or summer mountain activities.

For winter sports enthusiasts, the prime time is typically from December to April. During these months, the slopes around Mayeres, particularly those accessible from the nearby Cervinia and Valtournenche resorts, are covered in good quality snow, making it ideal for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-based activities. The festive period around Christmas and New Year's is popular, as are the months of February and March for consistent snow conditions and longer daylight hours.

If you prefer hiking, mountain biking, or simply enjoying the alpine scenery without the snow, the best time to visit is from June to September. The weather is generally warm and sunny, with wildflowers blooming across the meadows. This period is superb for exploring the numerous trails, taking cable cars to higher elevations for panoramic views, and enjoying outdoor dining. July and August are the warmest months, offering the longest days for exploration.

Ultimately, your ideal travel time will hinge on your preferred activities.
