"This was our second time at this lakehpuse. Parker Pond is warm and the weather was excellent the entire week. More attention needs to be paid to the tub. We wanted to soak in it, but there was a soap scum ring around it. I was a hotel inspector and I'm fussy about stuff like that. Nothing that a good scrubber sponge and some cleaner for tubs and showers or even good old Comet would fix that. The place is rustic and homey. We loved the wrap around deck, the night campfires, the ample fishing, the well stocked kitchen cabinets, and the quick response to questions. The gas grill could be replaced, ot works but only on low and you need to light it. The push button start doesn't work. But these thibgs were minor and can be easily corrected. We were careful to leave no mess, the trash and recycling were all left neatly outside, and everything was in its place. We had a great week and the weather was perfect. Thanks again. We all definitely recommend it and would rent it again in a minute! S"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wish I were there now but my week is over . The house was beautiful . We were sad to leave . If I could improve anything , it would be , an easier way to put the boats in the water . Although it had an A/C , it was downstairs which wouldn't help much in the master bedroom (if we needed it ). It should be moved up stairs . The other issue was the missing shade and short shade next to the master bedroom bed . It's hard to sleep late there . A note to remind guests to keep the hummingbird feeder full would be nice . By the way . It's not a deal breaker but the water flow in the shower is poor . I would definitely go back again . This was the first time I was told to clean the cabin before we left so we left no tip ."

"We stayed for a month at this lakeside cottage and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The standout feature is its excellent lakefront location, just steps from the water, offering beautiful views and stunning sunsets, along with a well-maintained dock. Inside, the cottage is clean, offers comfortable sofas and beds. A big screen supported with Wi‑Fi, provides very good internet and cell phone service. The well equipped kitchen and convenient, new washer and dryer facilitated our longer stay. The location is also very practical, with nearby grocery store, restaurants, golf courses, and casino. There is easy access to the wider lakes region, as well as Brunswick, Freeport and Portland. The owner proved to be very responsive to attending to some minor repair issues. Finally, although quite close to neighbouring cottages, no noise issues at all. Downsides include difficult lake access for swimming and some noticeable road noise from Route 11. The sleeping setup may also be challenging, with a narrow spiral staircase to the lower second bedroom and a bunkhouse without a bathroom.Despite these drawbacks, we found the positives outweighed the negatives. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-equipped lakefront cottage with exceptional views, beautiful sunsets, and a convenient location, this property is an excellent choice—provided you’re comfortable with the lake access and the unique bedroom layout."
