Great location, peaceful property

We stayed at the Bird House for my daughter graduation weekend from Texas State University. Great location - peaceful vibe in the pecan trees, yet just 12 minutes from TXST campus. House is cute and has everything we needed (except dishwasher!!). We enjoyed swinging in the porch hammocks, walking the property, and lounging indoors. Definitely a great getaway!

Beautiful property, accommodating host

We had some hiccups in our plan for the weekend and ended up having an extra guest with a dog stay at the last minute. Celso was very communicative and understanding of our situation. He simply charged us the pet fee through VRBO, which was a relief after dealing with a lot of hassle over our weekend event venue. We spent most of our time at the river in Martindale, and this property was a lovely place to retreat to at the end of a long day on the water. Watching the sun rise through the pecan grove from the Bird House porch was especially wonderful. <3

Beautiful but needs cleaning

This was a beautiful place. It is very quiet and peaceful. However, they don’t do a very good job at cleaning the place. The tub was full of dirt and grime. Shower curtain was nasty. Refrigerator water dispenser was also full of calcium deposits. The cabinet drawers were dusty and dirty. Looks like only the sinks get cleaned but that’s about it. It says it sleeps 9 but there are no extra blankets for the other sleeping areas The only ones with blankets are the beds. We had to door dash blankets. It was a little disappointing.

Family wedding

Family members stayed here for a wedding weekend celebration. There is a spiral staircase to get to the two bedrooms in the loft area. The “younger” members of our group were given that area to enjoy and to maneuver their suitcases up. Overall a lovely property and enjoyed the stay

So Cute!

This house and property was the cutest little escape only a few minutes from the river. The property is literally a pecan orchard! It's so beautiful and peaceful. I would highly recommend. Also the hosts were super accommodating especially with this being a last minute booking due to our Galveston trip getting cancelled by the hurricane. 10/10 recommend!
