"Good: Very clean room Very nice and helpful staff A lot of offsite car parks very near the hotel. 2 are right at the back street of the hotel. very reasonably priced petrol station at the corner of the street near the hotel, for thise driving Alot of amenities, including facial wash and facial cleanser. the only hotel we stayed in japan which includes facial wash as amenities. Very near konbinis, Lawson amd Family Mart. Very near eateries, around 1-2 mins walk from the hotel. Around 5 mins walk to Sendai train station. Around 1 min walk to the nearest local train station Bad: Seems to have max 2 devices which can connect to wifi. this affected my review of this hotel. Otherwisw , i would have given 5 stars. Very weak water pressure. this is one of the weakest, if not the weakest hotel water pressure we stayed in japan. Very expensive onsite parking, ¥1800 during our stay. However, there are a lot of reasonably priced offsite parking nearby, for as low as ¥600 from 1800hrs to 0900hrs"

"This is an older place so if you are looking for sparkling accommodation maybe not here. If you want a more traditional Japanese hotel this is a good choice. Great free breakfast. Private onsen by reservation. Free beer and noodles along with other snacks each evening from 4-6. Larger room than many Japanese hotels. The staff is fantastic. Free shuttle to the train station. Be aware if you are walking with luggage there is a major hill to climb. Call the hotel and they will send a car anytime before 7:00 pm"

"I was traveling solo through Matsushima Bay and I found this amazing Ryokan through an AI/Google search. I was highly impressed with service provided by the staff! I especially liked their use of some cool technology I had not seen before (it was a set up of two microphones, one facing the guest and one facing the staff, that automatically translated speech to text for display on a digital board between us as we spoke to each other). This was extremely helpful during my check in/out process since I usually fumble with Google Translate. My room + the view was immaculate and had everything I needed plus more! I thoroughly enjoyed my onsen experience and I can’t wait to experience more in the future. This was the best choice I could have made for my first true Ryokan experience. Note: They have a set time for dinner so if you are arriving after they have completed dinner service be prepared to make other arrangements just in case."
