On the bottom floor is a quiet, friendly, charming pub with attentive staff and a tabled area where they also provide a lovely breakfast. There is also a traditional fish and chip shop. My accommodation was above and the room was huge and spacious, as was the ensuite, with heated towel rails, complimentary chocolates, a double sofa, small kitchen and good, free wifi connection.
