This was our 2nd stay at the cabin. Everything was great from the host responding back quickly with questions to the cleanliness of the cabin. We will be back.
Spacious home on the edge of Lost River State Park. Very convenient all of Lost River‘s amenities. We have stayed here several times and really love it.
We loved this cabin so much that we stayed there again! It’s in a great location if you’re looking for privacy. It’s the absolute perfect getaway location. Good restaurants and unique shopping isn’t far away. I highly recommend this cabin.
We had a wonderful time in our "home away from home" The cabin and area were just as described and we enjoyed the property and surrounding areas. Hike was nice. Area was quite and relaxing. Thank you
This was our second stay at this property, located on the edge of Lost River State Park, and close to amenities in Mathias, Lost River and Lost City. It's nicely decorated with comfortable beds and sofas. The pool table is an unusual plus. The fireplace adds a romantic touch.
Hidden gem in beautiful setting. As mentioned in other review, details not overlooked (plenty of hooks to hang towels, access to washer/dryer, smart tv and wifi, k cup or drip coffee machine). Private setting
This house was absolutely awesome!! The location is perfect if you like off grid seclusion but you can find plenty of close history and historical sites, neat shops and farmers markets and tasty restaurants near by. The house and property were incredible! The inside was so homey and comfortable! It was super clean and offered everything you will need for a fun comfortable stay! The decor is great and the kitchen and bathroom are very updated if not brand new. This was definitely the hidden gem we were looking for and will definitely book it again!
We came up for the weekend in January 2025 to play and hike in the snow. The house was in a great location on the edge of Lost River State Park, so trails were nearby and it was very secluded feeling. House was super clean, good space and layout, we liked the fireplace and pool table. House is pretty well appointed (bring your own dish and laundry detergent--that wasn't totally clear in the amenities)--and number and range of dishes and cooking utensils is limited. We brought pre-cooked food to reheat so it was fine.
At the edge of Lost River State Park, the house is much closer to the activities in Lost River than others where we stayed. While the central heating kept us warm, the gas fireplace was a romantic touch. The rather large living room was comfortable with lots of seating. We only used one of the three bedrooms, with a comfortably firm bed. The bathroom featured a really nice shower and the towels were large and soft. The pool table was an unexpected fun feature. We look forward to returning again.
House was immaculate. We did not hike, but instead did 1 hour horseback trail, and swam at park's pool $5pp. Drove to top of park's main rd to look at the stars (so many, very beautiful) and enjoyed seeing a mama racoon w her babies scamper up a tree and stare at us---adorable! Also played a couple rounds of pool at the house. Loved the house/area so much we booked a fall weekend!! Ate booke

Peaceful and Clean, but Disappointing Internet and Customer Service
The place was quiet and clean, which we genuinely appreciated. However, the internet was unreliable throughout our stay—a significant issue given there was no cell service in the area. Unfortunately, our request for a refund (as we had to leave early due to the lack of connectivity) was not acknowledged, which was disappointing. It’s a lovely property, but the unreliable internet and lack of responsiveness are important considerations for future guests.
The property is unreal. If you love the outdoors and want luxuries during your trip. This is the place. The small attention to details in just the small things. Supplies, to linens, it's all there. The house is spotless. Private lot, trailhead right in the back yard that connects to main hub. Good local food all over the place. Yes for some you will have to travel 45 min to. But, Lost Rvr St park is the back yard. Hour away from Bryce Resort, MTB, Ski. Massanutten is about hour and 45 away. Peaceful private lot with so much to do. Will be back, probably for a bit longer hopefully. The horseback riding is to tempting not too. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful getaway.
This is our very favorite cabin for several reasons: It is among the closest to the State Park and all the activities in Lost City; living room is spacious and very comfortable; great shower in bath; modern kitchen; comfortable beds; dog friendly.
The cabin was wonderful and exactly as advertised. It had everything that we needed, was clean and comfortable, and the process and info from the owner had everything we needed to know, along with some helpful hints. This is a beautiful area to explore, and very close to the riding stables (which we also highly recommend!)
The cabin is absolutely awesome. Very secluded with most of the amenities of home. We absolutely will come back if we get a chance. Thank you for the use of your wonderful property.
My family truly enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean, quiet, and nestled in the midst of nature. My son and I took many hikes during our two-week stay. We loved seeing the deer, especially some adorable baby fawns. We were, however, taken by surprise one day by two loud, low-flying jets flying above us. We were not expecting them. I love West Virginia and think this location is ideal for exploring the nearby small towns and parks. I have a few suggestions, though. The first thing I did was pull out the air fresheners, as I'm sensitive to smells. If you are, too, you might want to request that they not be plugged in. We also bought some kitchen items to better suit our needs. For a two-week stay, we needed more than what was provided. There were some issues getting messages from Samantha, but these were quickly resolved, and we were able to communicate through texts. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the house. We would definitely stay there again.
