"We really enjoyed this accommodation and it exceeded our expectations. My wife and I were in the area to ride Old Ghost Road, Te Ara Paparoa, and the Pike 29 Memorial Track. This accommodation was central and convenient for our agenda. We really appreciated Chris and his responsiveness. When we needed help or something, he was super responsive, but we were also left to our peace. It was truly a charming cottage. The place appeared clean and was away from the chaos. It seems like it would be a great place for folks looking to fish on holiday. I'd just throw out two things for folks considering staying: 1. Anyone over 1.83 meters is going to have a tough time with the bathroom area and the passing into that room of the house. The toilet area for a tall person feels exactly like it does when you're in the bathroom on an airplane with your head pressed up against the ceiling trying to maneuver your body for a proper aim. 2. There is no wifi. It doesn't state there is, so it is what it is, but I feel like wifi should at this point be a standard provided item. Either way, it's not, so plan for that. We had Google Fi, which ran off the Spark Cellular tower and provided us with one strong bar that allowed us to do anything we needed to, including streaming. All in all, I'd stay here again. "Stay exceeded our expectations. Room was large and well appointed, spotless and extremely comfortable. Area was quiet - probably because of off season. Our only regret was that we were in Murchison for only one night. Accommodation is highly recommended."

"Great place to stay, it was a 15 minute walk into the township or a 2 minute drive, comfy beds, great fire, if i was picky the water pressure wasn't amazing in shower, but seriously that's the only thing if its even a thing. Very clean ,extremely tidy."

"Chontal is the most engaging host, she greeted us, laughed with us and provided fantastic service. The accomodation is next level, we wish we could have stayed longer, beds sooooo comfortable. Each room has such an incredible story, historical character and modern ensuites. The kitchen & living room very functional for a group. This is a real gem in a cool little town. "

"Despite being unwell and it raining all day we had a great time in the bus. It is beautifully decorated and quirky, something unique and different to the usual short term rental experience. It was lovely to sit and recover and watch the river flow by as we ate delicious lemonade fruit that was provided (seriously they are so good, some of the best fruit we have ever had). The kids loved the bus and unusual layout and despite not getting to use it much the grounds were also nice. Murchison as a town surprised us too, lovely cafes and nice people. The owners were very nice and communicative and obviously care about doing a good job. Theres a few little niggles around functionality but they are small and add to the charm really. recommend"
