The hot tub was amazing. The fireplace in the living room was amazing. We were perfectly comfortable the entire stay. Loved the views all around the cabin. Loves the proximity to town. Owners were amazing. Very quick responses and very accommodating. I highly recommend if you are in the area and need a place to stay to book with them.

Lovely place, secluded in the woods. Nice porch for sitting on the main building. Note a lot of places to eat in Marlinton, but if you take food, there are cooking facilities, and fridge and microwave in some room. Not far to the bike trail.

Wow! Nice place. The owners reached out to me and helped me secure a two bed option when I had mistakenly booked a queen bed only. My brother was delighted not to have to sleep on the floor. Also, their suggestion for dinner that night was fantastic.

Moore House is set in a lovely cove along a stream. It is an older structure but is well updated. Some facilities are marginal, eg no TV reception during our visit. Bed comfortable. Breakfast self serve from an array of packaged items. Overall a pleasant experience.

The owners were wonderful—friendly and helpful, and since they live nearby, check-in was quick and easy. The property is clean, comfortable, and set in a beautiful, peaceful location just outside of town. What makes this place especially unique is that each cabin has its own story, adding a fun and personal touch to the stay. If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend staying here!

Charming Inn

The owner met us and explained all we'd need to know about our stay. The room was small, but more than adequate, very clean. Wi-Fi worked well. It is an older remodeled home, so outlets for chargers were at a minimum, but plenty for 2 people for a night. Continental breakfast was good, lots of choices. Definitely would stay there again.

This location is so quaint and cozy with so much character.the restored cabins are amazing and we hope to stay on one next time. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. We loved it and will be back.

New managers give life to an historic mountain Inn

Nice and historic Inn now operated by a young couple with a long history of inn keeping who are originally from the area. Very quiet and peaceful and well-located for our leaf-peeping expedition. We would definitely book there again if in the area.

This was our first “B & B” style experience and it was amazing! The house was very charming and clean. We got to talk to Caley some in person and she is passionate about what they do! She will take care of anything you could need! We will be back at some point!

Not a lot of options in the town for dining. A few casual country restaurants. There was one more upscale place, but it was closed. Cabin was nice and we did have the option to cook there or grill. Enjoyed our stay overall. The hosts left nice notes and made sure we knew how to reach them if we needed anything.

Perfect stay

Our stay at Moore House Inn was great! The family that runs the Inn is nothing short of amazing. They were so welcoming and although we had car issues during our stay the couple did everything they could to ensure we still enjoyed our visit! The inn was comfy and welcoming! The breakfast was good with lots of choices. We enjoyed sitting on the swing and listening to the birds and the creek and the little town of Marlinton is so welcoming. We met so many amazing people! Took some amazing bike rides, and then relaxed back in our room.We already can’t wait to go back.

We stayed at Moore House Inn for just one night during our road trip through four states, but it quickly became one of the standout stops on our journey. This cosy B&B is ideally located just a short drive from several West Virginia state parks, making it a perfect home base for hikers, nature lovers, or anyone seeking a quiet escape. The inn has been recently renovated, and the results are beautiful — everything feels fresh and carefully curated. Our room was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable with what we can only describe as a perfect mattress. Combined with the quiet surroundings, we had one of the best nights of sleep on our entire trip. Caley, the owner, was absolutely lovely. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a comfortable stay. We only wish we had stayed longer!
