Dream Cabin
Such a nice place, even better than the pics. Love the cabin theme decor, beautifully decorated. Lots of room inside and out for a family to spread out. Thanks for keeping the kitchen well-stocked and leaving condiments/spices and kitchen supplies; we enjoyed cooking and preparing multiple meals. We were lucky to have perfect weather and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the mountain views and fire pit. We weren't expecting such nice weather; I wish we had brought cornhole/outdoor games. Great location, close to stores and the little downtown area with restaurants and bars. We explored some falls and easy hikes in the area and along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and spent a day in Asheville and Biltmore (about 40mins drive). The driveway was intimidating our first couple times up and down, but we got used to it, and it is definitely worth it to get to those great mountain views! We highly recommend this home!

Amazing view
Our family had a great time at the cabin! So cute and quaint and the view is the best part. Most sightseeing we did was about a 30 min drive but we were able to explore so many really cool areas. Highly recommend!

Mountain Getaway With A View
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved spending time outside on the deck or at the fire pit taking in the views. The cabin is so nice and very well kept. We did a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The grocery store is super close so that was a plus too. We also took day trips to Asheville, the Biltmore, and a couple hiking locations. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We are so grateful to have stayed at this unforgettable location!

Best Views Imaginable!
Best house in the mountains I have ever rented in NC and I typically rent a home twice a year. Especially spacious for us as we only had 2 couples spending the long weekend together. We really didn't use the downstairs. Beds were comfortable and the home met all our needs.The views of the mountains were simply stunning. The high quality outdoor furniture made staying outside so enjoyable. We did all of our cooking except for one lunch out and went to the Countryside BBQ in Marion. Amazing country cooking. This house will NOT dissappoint!

Magical Mountain Retreat
This cabin is exactly like the pictures. The views are magnificent! It was a bit chilly but being from Michigan that is our weather in December. The owner was very easy to work with and everything was either labeled or had directions on how to use it.

Another relaxing stay
We have had the chance to stay at this home a few times now. It’s larger than we need. We never even go upstairs or down, the main level is all we ever hang out on! Well and outside in the great chairs and by the fire pit for s'mores and books. We bring all we need and then some because we always cook all our meals there. Kitchen has what you need to get the job done and the grill is nice to use too. A big plus…at Christmas time there is a tree (more than one) and other decorations which is a must for me.

Absolutely Perfect!!!
We had a mom/wife girls trip getaway and this was the absolute most perfect place. They had a basket of stuff for smores waiting. We loved the fire pit with a glass of wine and the sunset was gorgeous. The place was very clean and the owners were amazing throughout the process. We are wanting to make this an annual visit!!!

Wedding Getaway
While attending our daughters wedding celebrations in Marion we decided to make it a getaway vacation for us as well. The home is well taken care of and had everything we needed. The owner has a great attention to detail which we appreciated each and every day we stayed. The view of the skyline and distant mountains on the back porch and yard area made the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and late afternoon/evening fires. A wonderful retreat in the mountains
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin! The views were spectacular (even with less-than-ideal weather!) and the house had everything we needed. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the kitchen well-enough equipped for us to cook dinner there each night. This is somewhere we would definitely recommend to others!

There are not enough superlatives to adequately and fairly review this beautiful property and breathtaking view. Michael is truly a comfort genius. Everything you need with a view to match!
This house is in a great location. The downtown area of Marion is just minutes away and the house is amazing! Plenty of room for my family of 5 to spread out. The outside area is wonderful and we spent most of each evening enjoying the fire pit, eating our grilled dinner at the lighted picnic table under the gazebo, then playing games at the table. There is good yard space for kids to run back and forth. This house is super close to some amazing waterfall hikes and Cedar Creek Stables (closing in August!) is just 30 minutes away. The house itself has everything you need to be comfortable. Use of laundry facilities, extra pillows, plenty of kitchen gadgets. We enjoyed the sunrise over the amazing, gorgeous view each morning and the sunset as well. I can't express how beautiful this view is from the house and yard. We prefer to cook so the kitchen was A-plus for us! However, if you're visiting, Crabby Abby's restaurant is just 8 minutes away and was wonderful. Then you need some Artesana's ice cream in your life. I would highly recommend this place. It has a nice downstairs set up for gaming and an air hockey table, but we really spent nearly all of our time there outside in the yard! Super clean home and responsive owners made renting this place easy and a great experience!

Stunning Mountain View
Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very comfortable, clean, with facinating decoration and furniture. The view is breathtaking, spent a lot of time outside enjoying the view, clean air, and nature. The sun sets right into the mountain view and the night sky gleams with lots of stars. Awesome Property
This property is amazing, the views are incredible and with the nearby town of Marion, NC being so close you have access to everything you need. We saw turkeys (gobbling in the morning) and deer, in addition plenty of good bird watching. The outdoor fire pit is ideal and on a rainy day you can use the indoor fireplace. The wifi was very good and onsite instructions for the TV's, etc was very helpful. The bedrooms are very comfortable with a bath included in each bedroom is fantastic. The kitchen has everything that you need. If solitude and quiet is what you are after this is the perfect place ! 5 stars from us.

Cabin getaway with the best view!
We were desperately looking for a cabin that checked off a bunch of things including location, interior comfort, outside amenities, and of course, a view of the mountains! I searched over 50+ listings and for the location, Michael's cabin hit the most marks for the price! Honestly, the only thing we were missing was a hot tub but that's okay because the stay was so nice here we didn't even mind. The view was just as pretty as we would have hoped and the cabin was comfortable. Communication with Michael was great and we truly enjoyed our stay. Instructions were clear and everything seemed really clean (except for the occasional stink bug getting in which is kinda unavoidable! Lol). The grill and fireplace were great so we cooked both nights instead of eating out! Beds were very comfortable and linens kept you nice and warm. The driveway was very steep, which I can't recall if I read or not in the description, but we found it fun. Location is convenient to all of the mountain activities we had planned as well. Overall, wonderful stay and would book again!

Another wonderful visit
My husband and I love staying here. It’s our second visit now. We don’t even leave! We stock the fridge, make some out door fires, grill, read, play games and watch movies. There is a cozy bed and a big soaking, jetted tub. There is a lot of wind sometimes so you might not get outside to fire pit when you want but it’s remote and quiet which we sought after.

We had a great time. Everything was as we had hoped. Michael accommodated a special request and that was very much appreciated! The views are truly spectacular. No clear places to hike but we explored some. I will say that the house did have outside cameras which I do not believe was disclosed in the listing (unless I missed it) but that was not a big deal for us. We hope to return. :)

We do list about our security system for protection of our property from possible theft and criminal mischief when the property is not being rented. You should have read it in the information packet you received after booking our property. All guests receive the same information packet sent to the email address that was provided when booking our property prior to the stay. Hotels and many other rental properties have security cameras outside the building for protection against possible theft. At anytime after reading the information guests can make the decision to cancel the booking or call the owner for additional information. Great view, beautiful home, and perfect location
My family and I wanted to find a little getaway for Christmas and this home and location was exactly what we were looking for. The view is beautiful and the cabin was very spacious even with 6 of us. We spent one day visiting the Biltmore/Ashville area and another day hiking to the Linville water falls and snow tubing up in Seven Devils. We wanted to walk the Grandfather Mountain swing bridge but it was a little too cold that day. There are so many things to do in the area that I would love to come back in the summer time. The host was very accommodating and was quick to reply with any questions we had. I will recommend this home to everyone I know that's looking for a mountain getaway.

Husband and I rented the home in December and LOVED that the home was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. I'm a Christmas nut so this was a very cool perk of our stay! Spectacular vacay
Amazing views from a beautiful, spacious but cozy log cabin! The house is set up with all the necessities and luxuries for a comfortable get-away. The owners definitely but some thoughtfulness into their set-up. Check in was easy, and Michael was very responsive to our questions. The fireplace was an added bonus, perfect for a cool mountain evening. We loved it and are already talking of coming back. The view is beautiful, and we love the secluded peacefulness...while only being a few minutes away from the necessities. Great location.

Excellent Property - Beautiful Location
Loved our stay. Gorgeous secluded mountain cabin. Michael is fantastic to deal with. Loved the attention to details in the cabin. The starter s’more basket was delightful!

Hidden Gem
This hidden gem tucked away in the trees in Marion was amazing. The breathtaking views and quietness of the property was even more than we anticipated! The property was very clean and had anything and everything needed for a wonderful and comfortable family vacation. We enjoyed grilling outdoors and just sitting by the fire pit most evenings. Despite being remote and private, it was within 5-10 minute drive to most shopping/restaurants. The property owner Michael was always responsive in regards to any questions we may have had. I would highly recommend this property and would love to make a return visit.

Baseball Getaway
My family traveled for a baseball tournament in Marion, and this was the perfect spot to stay! We absolutely loved the views and the cabin, had a great time making s’mores at the firepit, and it was an easy drive to great hiking spots. Michael was super responsive and great to deal with. Would definitely stay again!
