"Hotel was actaully rather nice, well decorated and very clean. The air conditioning wasn't the best, barely sufficient for the rooms, and patio dorrs did not seal very well. The restaurant was only open for breakfast, which was a little inconvenient, but plenty of options nearby"

"Great hotel. Immaculate room, great choice at breakfast, pools were lovely and the bar staff and selection were great. Views over the trees to the coast were exceptional and great for spotting toucans and passing monkeys. Hotel is on a steep hill and golf buggy lifts up and down are available if mobility is a challenge. We had a great massage in the spa and the desk for tours ecetera was really helpful. On site restaurant is good. The main village is a taxi ride away for more choice. (Steep road and no pavement make walking a bad choice). We LOVED being so close to the small beach (which dissapears at high tide!). Gorgeous walk down, beautiful small sandy beach and warm waters for swimming. We were in a an 'interior' view room (for budget reasons) which felt quite overlooked by the road and the shop, so pay a bit more for privacy. There was also no comfy seating in the room (no room with the two double beds) . A more expensive room would probably have better seating options - especially those with balconies."

"This is a 5 star resort with 5 star staff that work there. The only thing negative is the fact that it’s a bit isolated so it’s not easy to walk into the “town” of Manuel Antonio. They have overcome most of that with scheduled shuttle vans to the public beaches. And the drivers are very kind and accommodating regarding the drop off locations and time frames. The food for breakfast was exceptional as was the food at the restaurants on site. Well done!"

"We spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica in jaco, Manuel Antonio and uvida. This was our favorite, a hotel out of all 3 spots. Amazing views a fantastic nature feel! If you like puppies when we went, they had a very well behaved puppy named oso always made coming back to the hotel. Feel like home."

"Wow, Wow, Wow! Beautiful, amazing, incredible, once in a lifetime experience. No way to describe what the time here was like you just have to go. From start to finish we were enthralled with this place. All around Costa Rica tourists were everywhere. Not here. We felt like we were the only people in the country. The house is situated right in the rain forest at the top of a mountain. Lush vegetation all around you. Views you cannot describe with words. The people who own it are wonderful and helpful. Our guided tour of the property was our favorite part of the trip with a visit to the waterfall. You will fall in love with Jose, the man who does the tour. I wish he could have been with us the entire trip! Not for people who want to party and not have a true Costa Rican experience though. This place is for a true adventurer."

"Wide Mouth Frog was an amazing, comfortable stay in Quepos. I got the budget garden twin bed room and it was a great option! I had a comfortable bed in quiet AC, with a hot water shower and daily pool access! I only stayed for 2 nights but they felt like relaxing in a resort; it is an oasis inside the city (I stayed at a more modest guesthouse down the street for the previous 3 nights but the loud fan and no AC was destroying my sanity; in comparison, Wide Mouth Frog was a godsend). I ate the breakfast for the first morning but you can go outside the hotel across the street to Soda Sanchez for a way way way better breakfast for a cheaper price."
